So... what can I do to reduce gas? Like i don't know what changed in my diet but the last few months ive had pressure pains and contributed more then my share to global warming...

Just as an experiment, check out the Blood Type Diet.

If you know your type, read up on the foods that are beneficial to you, and the ones to avoid.

Try it for a week, it won't kill you, and see if it makes a difference.

This diet changed my life completely, and I'm on year eight of it....

where do i find info on this diet?

Artisticboy89, if you haven't started to follow my earlier recommendations, then I'm sorry. You'll just continue to suffer.

And too many of the above posters, offering help, are foolish in thinking that "one size fits all". What works for one might not work for all....

For instance, if your blood type is B, then cheese, in any amount, would never be a problem for you.

Are you being serious??? :rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao::rotflmao:

That is quite possibly the biggest load of quackery that I have seen since homeopathy.

To the OP:

Buy some peppermint oil and get some mebeverine or buscopan.

Any over the counter product with Simethicone in it should do the trick. Not sure if Beano has that but it does work too.

Beano is a digestive enzyme that helps digest complex carbohydrates (like beans).

The answer to your dilemma is to determine whether something in your diet is triggering the problem or whether you might have a gastrointestinal infection.

The fact that this seems to be a new problem for you points to either a recent change in your diet (are you eating more breads or milk products?).

You may also have a problem with an imbalance in your gut. This could be an infection or an imbalance caused by recent antibiotics. You might try drinking natural culture yogurt or kefir. There's a yogurt product on the market in the US called Activia that may help.

Ben also gave some good suggestions. Simethicone (US product GasX) helps some people.

If these don't work for you, then you need to see your doctor for testing.

Some beans give you gas because they don't break down all the way, like pinto or black beans.
Gas is caused by undigested food. Make sure you chew before you swallow, beans or no beans, or you'll get gas.
