Simon Cowell sneered and the huge audience at the “Britain’s Got Talent” show made the sort of faces associated with a bad smell. Mrs. Susan Boyle done amazingly, as I'm sure many of our British residents, and possibly some others, already know.

For whatever reason I couldn't watch the video on the MSNBC site, so here's the youtube link. From the looks of things, the several videos of her have garnered 11-12 million views, and apparantly she already has a recording contract in the works.

By the way, watch in the video when Simon goes in a good way, is pretty damn funny.

Well, who says she needs to change her appearance all that much? Yes, probably a nicer dress and heels, but beyond that, as long as she doesn't lose her voice, what does it matter?

I agree completely on the experts, they need to learn not to judge a book by its cover, although often(like in the case of *shudder* Sex *gag* on SYTYCD) it is justified thinking.

I've seen the video posted everywhere, but couldn't bring myself to watch it, as I thought it was just a joke or something (hadn't read how great she was, just that it showed up under recommended Youtube vids). Wow. Now I wanna be back in England, if only to meet her.

The same way most celebrities get to places overnight. A jet. I don't think the two shows overlap. BGT is on Saturdays. Plenty of time to get back to America for Idol.

In reply to the question in post #12, I asked the same question in another thread. The reply I got was that the Britains Got Talent segments are already taped and the show is only live later on. I think Idol is over or almost over before they go live in Britain so there isn't a lot of back and forth travel
