is anyone else watching this? Emily Vancamp can play a good scary woman.

They should call the show "Vengeance Is Mine, Sayeth Emily Thorne." I really am liking this show. It's "The Count of Monte Cristo" with a modern twist.

I dunno. I dont think the lead actress isnt good enough to carry a series. The whole theme is kinda silly to make an entire primetime show around. It seems like a one-shot summer series like Harper's Island. And I'm not buying the little brother from Gossip Girl as this straight, bad boy.

It seems like the show has to have an endpoint. I mean, in the second episode, she ruined one of the men responsible for what happened to her father. So if she takes down a character every episode or two, by the time the first season is done, all of those responsible should be dead or ruined. Then what?

i dunno. i like it and want to enjoy the ride. i'm not worried about the story continuing.

I definitely agree that this is a one season show. I still like it though!

Well it does say this isn't a story about forgiveness, so I don't see her minding destroying the family whether it costs her the guy or not. Then again, her hooking up with the guy might be part of the plan anyway.

This concept seems to have a limited shelf life. I mean how many people could possibly have been involved with framing her father. It seems like this is a one season show.

I hadn't planned on watching the show but caught the first two episodes over the weekend and enjoyed them.

Thing is, how does the guy she took down in episode 2 not figure out she was involved in his big crash? She tells him to check out the big stock tip, he does, then calls for reassurance and she says go for it in a coy kind of way, then all goes to hell. I don't know about you, but she'd be the first person I'd be looking to have a "conversation" with.

Also, I think if this is a one season show, the lead character will somehow die in the end after revenge is complete. The opening title card scene had a Confucious saying something about revenge and digging TWO graves.

I stayed away from this show but broke down and marathoned it the other day. Now I'm hooked. I HIGHLY recommend. The actress who plays Victoria Grayson is incredible.

I agree, this show is excellent. I'm going to be going in withdrawals when it ends.

I tuned into this show because I'm obsessed with Nick Wechsler, only to find that another obsession (Connor Paolo) is also on it. As is William Devane who I'm not obsessed with, but still happy to see.

This week is the first episode I've ever seen, so I'm not sure what's going on. I just wish the one character (Nolan?) would cut his hair. I'm only one episode in, and I'm already tired of going "Oh, hey! Ron Weasley is on this show!"

I love it! This week's episode was AMAZING! I want to be like Emily when I grow up!

Holy shit. Sat down the other day and marathon the whole season because a friend of mine said that it was a great show. Love this show now. That Japanese Sensei, Takedo, is a bad ass. I hope that they show a little backstory on who he is, etc.

takedo adds quite an interesting depth to the show. clearly compared to emily, his unswerving and cold view towards vengeance is frightening. i wonder how many skeletons he has packed in his closet. and i love to know more about how he takes emily under his wings.

It took me a while to warm up to Emily but now I think she is excellent.

Almost didn't even bother with the show because of her. Had an odd dislike for her ever since "Everwood". I'm actually really liking her in this role though. Can't wait for them to bring it back.
