Did you notice that Ryan never said Blake was in the bottom 2 in terms of votes? I think Melinda was in the bottom 2, but they didn't want her fans revved up for next week, so they can send her home. Then they can have the 2 most marketable finalists.

lakisha is gone. i never understood the fuss about her. eh, whatever. really, i'm not that into any of the contestants this year, but jordin's my favorite. blake is good, too. melinda... i s'pose she'd make for a good church choir singer.

I think Lakisha peaked the first show. Her Dream Girl song was hard to follow and she never really improved and actually seemed to get worse at times thru the following weeks. No matter what happens from here on out the final 4 at least have a shot at 1 record before their career is over and at least a couple are bound to have more than 15 minutes of fame.

Looking at the last few weeks of voting, it's become clear Melinda won't make the final two. After reading boards at some other sites I'm beginning to believe Jordin will win (which is what Nigel, et. al. want) because she'll get Lakisha's and Melinda's votes. There seems to be a tweentard split betwen Jordin and Blake. I guess I can live with Jordin winning, but I'd have much preferred Melinda. Blake will make a great arranger/producer, but his vocal skills are really limited (but, of course, so are Justin Timberlake's and Madonna's.)

Exactly! Like i've said before, honestly she really wasn't much of a standout to begin with. I mean, she sounds just like any good singer in a church choir or something. She wasn't horrible by any means, but it was just blah.....

Anyway, yay Blake's in the TOP THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder what songs the judges will choose for him???

Probably songs where he can't beatbox or anything, since according to many people he tends to "beatbox on EVERY song" (yeah right.....)

This is going to be very very interesting..

We have one white guy, and two black women(Jordin's half black). Who will the public choose?? And also 3 complete different styles of music. This is going to be very exciting to watch.

We're almost there guys! Of course I want people to keep voting for Blake but at the same time I kinda don't want Blake to win because I fear Clive will try and turn him into a carbon copy JT or something equally as heinous.....

Jordin for the win.....maybe.....

It's strange. I've read comments on a number of message boards concerning AI contestants and never have seen a racist comment about Jordin or Melinda. But I have read dozens of racist remarks about Lakisha. It's very sad! And there have been loads of homophobic comments about Blake and there's no serious evidence he's even gay. (The Cake stuff is nonsense.)

If Blake and Melinda are in the finals I'm going to have a hard time deciding between the two. Both are amazing.

I don't put Blake and Timberlunk on the same level. Justin is cocky and all coked up. I can't stand his songs: absolutely no melody, no singing; just computerized voices and computerized beats. Blake is much better, IMO. However, I cringe when I think what Clive Davis and other boring record execs will force him to do if he wins AI. The only decent debut album released by an AI winner is "Some Hearts" by Carrie Underwood.

What is with the comments that Blake beat boxes all the time? The Bon Jovi week (two weeks ago) was the first time in over a month (4-5 shows) that he beat boxed.

Jordin really has the entire package.

Yes Melinda has great controlled vocals but Jordin has that something.

Jordin i more marketable and has that powerhouse voice. How amazing was she tonight?

I voted for both of them though because Melinda was on tonight and i want them both to battle it out in the finale.

I think Blake is great but I think the final 2 will be Melinda and Jordin-with the winner being----------Melinda.
