Anti-Gay Jazz Owner Has Legs Amputated

That's what I was thinking, I thought this was a violent attack when I saw the thread title. And I was confused by the title as well. "Jazz owner?" I thought Dizzie Gillespie owned jazz. I forgot about the team after Malone left.

who the fudge is "Dizzie Gillespie"?
you and your American musicians\porn stars :p

With neanderthal views like his, he never had a leg to stand on.

I wonder how he'll like being discriminated againest?

Did you guys read the comment on page of that story:

Just a heads-up: I live in Salt Lake City, and shortly after the Brokeback brouhaha, Larry actually had a discussion/round table with area gay young adults … during the meeting it was made clear that Larry’s not so much a hater as he is ill-informed.

If you read the article,in the comments section someone points out Larry Miller met with gay activists understandably unhappy with his actions regarding Brokeback Mountain and he seriously engaged them and turned out less homphobic than uninformed.Diabetes can be a cruel disease and losing ones legs as a complication is a terrible thing I wouldn't wish on anyone.Larry Miller was wrong but I don't believe he'a a vicious homophobe.

Check the first comment after the article....it was wrong,it was ignorant keeping Brokeback Mountain out of his theaters but he had the guts to meet with some members of the young gay community and learn something.I denounce and have contempt for those who put ideology over humanity. There's no place for hate of any kind.

I thought the comment on the link page 'Grumpy Dumpy now Stumpy' was rather funny in a very very bad way.

My dad had diabetes, and he had a below knee amputation because he got gangrene in his toes. Notice, toes. He didn't have it seen to quickly enough, and it spread.

This is what few people know about diabetes. If anything, I think it ought to make people aware of the dangers of making light of a slight cut or abrasion, blister, or sore when diabetic. Doctors told us, male diabetics are particularly prone to having amputations, since they don't want to bother their doctors for what they think are minor ailments.

I agree, F22, that the tone is inappropriate in this case, but if Fred Phelps goes blind from diabetes, I will gloat and make jokes about how his body is getting closer to matching his soul, and so forth.

It's a matter of the degree of evil. This guy wasn't evil enough to justify gloating over his terrible misfortune.
