books are entertainment right?
Anywho i usually dont read, but when i do i read fantasy books. The last books i read was the twilight series, which was alright. It needs more fantasy and less drama(urgh). I am also a huge harry potter fan :) (Gotta be true to yourself).

Well, I am always looking for a good book to get stuck into. I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter series as well, but actually haven't read much other fantasy. I read 'The Steel Remains' by Richard Morgan - that was a fantasy, the hero was gay and it was pretty graphic at times. It was actually quite difficult reading - I don't really like grown up fantasy I don't think; probably the reason I couldn't make it through Lord of the Rings?

Anyway other good books I have read:
'No Time For Goodbye' Linwood Barclay,
'A Quiet Belief In Angels' by R.J Ellory,
'Random Acts of Heroic Love' by Danny Scheinmann,
'The Last Gospel' David Gibbins - sort of Indiana Jones meets The Da Vinci Code,
'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak,
'Hold Tight' by Harlan Coben,
'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini,
'The Woods' by Harlan Coben and 'Sail' by James Patterson.

My goodness I have read a lot of books this year (considering those are the ones I enjoyed). I'm about to read 'The Dice Man' by Luke Rhinehart as well. I was recommended it by a friend.

I also read 'The Pirate's Daughter' by Margaret Cezair-Thompson. I was mislead by the title and thought it would be a swashbuckling adventure but was pretty disappointed with the book for that reason. I huess it was good but I couldn't get over the fact that it wasn't actually about pirates.

if you like fantasy, i recently read the "wizard's first rule" from that series that spawned the "legend of the seeker" show. the book was so much better, obvs, than the tv show. worth checking out, i'd say...

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan comes to mind.
Also, the Shannara series by Terry Brooks and The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny.

The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series by Terry Brooks is a good read.

Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman is about a man who visits a subculture in abandoned subway stations and sewer systems. The Minneapolis Star Tribune describes it as "A Dark,Contemporary Alice In Wonderland...Imaginative, Well Crafted And Highly Visual."www.neilgaiman.com

The Wheel of Time is a fantastic series--I'm just biding my time until someone finishes the saga.

I am all about fantasy books, I'm a little geeky that way, but whatever. Anyway, you should check out Neil Gaiman, his books are great: American Gods, Anansi Boys, and Good Omens are my favorite of his books.

Also try out:
Sir Apropos of Nothing
At Swim, Two Boys
Ender's Game
It's Superman
To Reign in Hell
The Actor's Guide to Murder
On a Pale Horse
The Vampire Lestat
Feast of All Saints
Wraeththu

lol!

The Time Traveller's Wife? That's the only one I have heard of.
You've probably read that one though right?

depends on what you like. I like the books from David Sedaris. To me they are funny.

I've also started reading some fantasy werewolf books that fun fluff. I finished the first of the series, Kitty and the Midnight Hour. I mean come on... the main character is Kitty and she is a werewolf. You know it's gonna be fluff, but it is a fun read. Some people that reviewed the book didn't like it, but I did...

i've been reading His Dark Materials by Pullman and they're actually fantastic. i'm about half-way through The Golden Compass now and i highly recommend it.
