Anyone watch the new Project Runway?

Project Runway All Stars

Is anyone watching PR All Stars?
I was so excited to watch this show and then when the premiere finally aired i was left so underwhelmed and disappointed. I love most of the designers on the show; especially Mondo and Austin, but the judges are just awful. Angela is so boring and has no personality (as a host at least), Georgina is just there, and Isaac whom I was hoping would have the wit of Michael Kors is equally as boring. The worst part is that all I heard was compliments to the designers from the judges; even the bottom three, well except Sweet P. I miss Heidi, Nina, and Michael.

It was just... okay.

And the crazy girl went home first again.

Getting to see Rami again though... worth it. :luv:

the only thing I hated about Michael Kors was that he wore sunglasses to the final runway at fashion week, it made him seem like a snob.

Re: Project Runway All Stars

Yea it totally sucked balls. I have never in my life heard of Angela. They call anyone a Supermodel these days. She was so plain-looking and boring. Every time she came on-screen I thought "Who the fuck is that?"
I knew Isaac would suck b/c he was awful on The Fashion Show. Iman however was good. She should have hosted this. Georgina is beautiful but she was always forgettable as a guest judge. And the woman who replaced Tim Gunn is the worst.

Re: Project Runway All Stars

I saw the premiered tonight and I was really disappointed with the judges. If Heidi, Nina and Michael weren't coming back for this season they should of at least made sure they had Tim Gunn. Also one big problem that I think the show had was that I was used to the 1 hour and 30 minutes and now the 1 hour episodes just seemed to rushed. They should of kept it at a 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Re: Project Runway All Stars

I forgot to mention Tim. The show is not the same without him.
I do have to disagree with you on Angela Lindvall (even though I don't like her on the show). She is well known in the fashion industry. She has a very distinct walk and has walked numerous times for high fashion houses like Chanel and Louis Vuitton and has appeared in multiple campaigns for high end designers over the years. She just isn't very well known by the general public because she doesn't focus on commercial modeling like the Victoria's Secret girls (even though she has had campaigns with them as well) she mostly works in high fashion.

It was different without the old crew of Tim Gunn and Heidi. It just seemed awkward. Let's hope that they find their groove.

Yeah I was surprised that they brought Iziak on after his failure of the The fashion show on Bravo.

It was a miserable show to watch. There was no real bitch (as yet) with the designers, and the edge seemed worn. The critiques were just luke warm, and the personalities of the host and judges were as boring as dipping snuff. Ramu was the only reason to watch and he obviously has ben hitting the gym.

When Ramu won did you notice the Mizrahi and creep from Neiman cruise him asm he walked off?

I thought tonight's episode was a lot better than last week's premiere.
I'm glad Austin won the challenge; his dress was elegant, well-made, and looked fresh. I also enjoyed Anthony's dress; very pretty Grecian dress, although a bit reminiscent of Rami's dress on the first challenge in his season. I did not really like Michael's dress, it was too vulgar and looked like many other dresses I have seen before; too many decorations on it.

I loved Michael Costello's dress. I personally thought he was robbed. I thought he was screwing himself when he changed materials b/c of April.

Overall, I think the show is just okay. I'm not super excited about Angela, but she's not awful. I've always liked Issac, but I can see why other don't. Georgina seems decent and I like a lot of her feedback. The same goes for Joanna, who I definitely did not like during regular PR.

As far as the contestants, I'm thrilled to see Mondo and Austin back. They are two of my favorite designers. I'm also happy to see Rami back as I think he could definitely win it this season since he is a strong designer and has been doing more than just draping. Jerell has been impressing me and although I don't remember him from his season all that much, I do vaguely remember liking him. I especially love his sense of personal style. The same goes for Mondo.

I'm not thrilled to see Michael Costello back or Anthony. Although Anthony is entertaining, I never felt like his designs were all that great. He is doing a lot better this season though. Michael Costello is still just meh to me.

I am glad that the show has been cut down to an hour. I felt like it dragged on way too long when it was an hour and a half.

I personally hated Rami's dress. It looked like Carmen Miranda on crack.

But I loved Kenley's so much. That was an amazing pink.

Mila ignored the challenge totally n just did a Mila dress.

But gordana's looked like a nightgown. she had 2 go.

Pretty good episode this week. Mondo is ridiculously talented. I'm not sure anyone else has a chance. We'll see.

Overall, I think the host is terrible. Atrocious, actually. Heidi can be annoying but at least she's charismatic (and often drunk). I think Joanna is worthless as a mentor and would be far more useful and entertaining as a judge. She doesn't even go with them to Mood or to introduce challenges like Tim does. I think it'd be a good idea to bring in a Project Runway winner for this task, to mentor those who didn't make the cut in past seasons.
Isaac is great as he is. That other woman designer isn't so great. I think having an editor as a judge, such as Joanna, alongside a designer (like with Kors and Nina) is a great formula they should stick to. Joanna just seems busy and rushed and doesn't care too much about the designers. Tim Gunn is at least 50% of what makes Project Runway so great. He is its heart, something All Stars depends solely on its designers for. It just barely gets by with it. Not so much now with Anthony being gone...

I really liked April but she clearly has to grow (again). Mila is too weird and avant garde for this show. Her style doesn't translate well, but I like it. And why is she always telling everyone how much time is left at Mood, and that it's time to go home for the night, and that's it's time for makeup, or time for runway, etc. Is she just the only one who looks at a clock ever or is she just a control freak like that?
Jerell is terrible. Michael does good work, just not special. Plus he's kind of annoying. Austin is okay. I think he deserves to go to head to head with Mondo more than anyone. I just don't really like his style that much. But his Godspell dress was cool. Just not as cool as Mondo's. Mondo's was perfect. And like Mondo, i fail to see why Kenley is still there.

Well, the fix is in, but that doesn't stop me from wanting Captain Scarlett to mop the floor with everyone. (Except for Kenley. She's fun.)
