Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

It's complicated, but in my experience, women are not comfortable dating gay or bisexual men. For many women, gay and bisexual men are alright as friends--even best friends--as long as their sexuality is an abstraction. When it comes to dating, committing, becoming emotionally involved, and having a sexual relationship, more women than not shy away from bisexual men. Part of the reason is why some gay men do--they're afraid they'll be left for a man, or that the guy will fool around and introduce some disease into the bedroom.

Some women, though, find the thought erotic and are cool with it as long as some ground rules are established and there's abundant trust. I think those women are a minority, though.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

They almost never know their man is bi/gay !

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

Well, considering how many people, men and women, who refuse to date a bi-guy since he may leave them... do you REALLY blame a bi-guy for NOT telling? Poor begger'd never get laid!

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

yay good topic. I am a straight female and would REALLY prefer to have a bisexual boy as opposed to a straight one to date. But I always tend to be surrounded by homophobic guys... ugh. Where are all the bi men looking for women who like the fact that they're bi? :help: Man on man gets me soo hot and bothered!

My only thing is i would like to watch him do shit with the other guy, or have my bf give sexual details of his fuck session so i can get off on it. :D Better yet, my fantasy..to blow or jack a guy while he tells me about it. mmm

aand... i have quite a few girl friends who feel the same way about bi men. =)

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

i know its practicing inequality when i say this but i would enjoy it if my bf did things with another guy while we were together. But if it was cheating with a woman I would feel more cheated because its like, i have those parts, so why would he need to go elsewhere for lovin? but if he wants/needs cock or just a man i would totally understand ya kno LOL mmm

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I don't see a problem as long he is truthful about his sexuality from the beginning. Also, I don't think that one should have presumptions bisexuals, or any sexuality. That's being unfair. Bisexuals have no greater of chance of cheating on their partners than gay or straight people. It's a character flaw not a sexuality flaw. You shouldn't distrust your partner until they give you proof they can't be trusted, than a relationship can end just as quickly as it began. No need fearing that you'll get your tiny, fragile heartbroken just because he's bisexuals, anyone can do that to you (if your the disillusioned romantic type *who thinks that love is eternal and forever and full of brilliant rainbows.).

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

Whether it's a valid fear or not, gay men and straight women fear that a bisexual boyfriend might go after someone that they cannot possibly compete against (different body parts).

Relationships are tough enough as it is when you can compete on body parts.

So I think for most people, bisexual dating is fraught with (perceived) danger.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

This is anectdotal, but I know a woman with an extremely healthy 'appetite' who likes to date bi-guys and have threesomes: two cocks are better than one!

Just as straight guys get off watching lesbo porn, and fantasize about threesomes which include lotsa mutual rug munching, straight women are developing an appetite both for gay porn and watching guys go at it. And why shouldn't they?

I had a summer job several years ago in Sunnyside, Queens -- not a 'gay' neighborhood by anyone's reckoning. The kiosk at the Subway station was full of gay porno. I asked the Sikh owner who bought it. Women, he replied.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I know I probably wouldn't tell a women I wanted to be with that I was bi, or like cock. I hate the stereotype that bi guys sleep around that is far from me, I have a lot of self restraint and am bit of a prude when it comes to guys. I lost a j/o buddy becuase I wouldn't go farther then j/o. And for me j/o with guys is almost in lieu of doing things with women who I haven't seem to get.

what if the girl said it would make her hot knowing you were bi or would do shit with men. Would you still deny it?

I'm just curious cuz ive asked quite a few men whom i know or thought were bi, if they were bisexual, and all of them deny it. And are all defensive about it too. ](*,)

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

my personal experience is that there are some women out there like Caaake bless her who totally dig the idea of a bi man particularly if they can participate in MMF - it seemed to me there were many more men than women who are interested in this

there are also existing couples out there where the woman enjoys watching her man in m2m & joining in so they will seek out a bi guy - younger couples like this are less common than older couples I think because the older couples are looking to add something new to the mix - it's a variety of swinging & the women seem to be dominant because they don't like the idea of the man with another girl but like the idea of him submitting to another man

on the other hand if she's your garden variety girl looking for a traditional relationship & you tell her you sometimes bat for the other team, there's a good chance you will never see her again - at best she will try to "convert" you to being 100% straight

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

Like most people, women are likely to confuse "bisexuality" with "promiscuity". I think honesty is important, but it is just as important to say who you are in a way that is clearly understood.

Don't say "I'm bisexual" if your woman will hear "I sleep around."

What might make more sense is "I could have dated a man or a woman before I found you, but now you're the only one I want to be with."

Whoever you are dating will be able to deal with it a lot better if you don't trigger a bunch of their insecurities.

Of course some particularly kinky people will be hoping to date you with the occasional "side order" and if that is your scene, it probably wouldn't be an issue of comfortable because there are probably already way more freaky things going on in each of your love lives than just plain old bisexuality. But if that were the case, would you be asking for this kind of advice?

This is a very responsible answer.

I tell my girls and guys, they usually understand, some want to explore it with me (which I more than often refuse, I'm pretty prudish when it comes to that), and others really just want to know and learn about the lifestyle/preference. It really depends though on who you date and what you put off in the beginning image-wise (I give off a very open yet analytical vibe to people apparently).

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

Women aren't as "open-minded" as some think. I've been around a number of women who have snickered and cringed at the idea of a man being bisexual.

I have to say that I've been around a couple of women like this also. I'm not speaking for all women but the women I've known--while not necessarily homophobic-- have subscribed to the idea of a man being completely masculine, a real man. This means that having relationships or sex with men does not fall under being "manly" and thus, they would not date an "unmanly" man.

Does that make sense?

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

^ i know girls like that and they make me sick. they're so ignorant, they have no clue what they're talking about. Crazy. All my girlfriend's are openminded thankfully :)

and to the ladies out there that think there is.... no such thing has a "real man"

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I'd be fine with it, as long as he was secure enough in his sexuality to know that he truly did like women as much as men, and me in particular, and wasn't just trying to use me as a beard. But then, I've got pretty good instincts about people and I think I'd be able to suss that out before getting involved anyway.

With regard to whether or not the fear is increased that one could be left for another, does it really matter who you get left for, whether it be a man or a woman? It just plain sucks to get left for someone else, is all.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I don't think most women would want to date a bisexual man. Now straight men like the fantasy of the bisexual girlfriend because they hope they have a threesome and get a blow job and screw two women. Now for the straight woman this most likely would be a turn off they want a man that is totally straight.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I'm thinking probably not. It happens, that's a fact, but I think they'd prefer it that he'd be only into women.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

Contrary to popular belief, very few men are completely heterosexual - so most women have no choice but to date bisexual men.

It seems like your struggle, as well as the struggle of most people on this message board, is overgeneralities. Life is in the details.

Re: Are women really comfortable dating bisexual m

I'd say it depends, I know of a few of my female friends claim it would be a turn on, though whether or not that means they would openly date a known bisexual or whether they just want to watch two men go at it I don't know.
