Kappa Alpha Order

Have you read about the stink at the University of Georgia over KA and their plans for a new house (for 30) smack in the middle of a traditionally black neighborhood in Athens. Folk are not pleased.

My campus finally banned KA. That stuff of riding horses in Confederate uniforms and firing off cannon on the quad got to be a bit much. They were banished for a time from our campus, not for the ritual, etc., but for drunkenness and hell-raising. I guess the limit came when they burned down another fraternity house when they got drunk and fired bottle-rockets into the windows of the house next door. Oh, these undergraduate high jinx!

I could tell many tales about KA. One of the best is about an old alumnus (single and I imagine closeted) who told me about wanting to honor his momma and papa, his God, and his fraternity. He donated the money to build a chapel in their memory as an addition to the KA house. My stomach still churns when I think about it!

I have been around fraternities all my life, and the only one on our campus that is worth the trouble is ATO.

Of course, that is just my opinion and I could be wrong.

I was a fratrat many moons ago. TKE (Tau Kappa Epsilon). Fun times, and I even still remember the greek alphabet after 35 years.

I think we should start up our own JUB fraternity. We could call it...

"I felta thigh" or maybe "I eta zeta".
