Yes I am a karaoke whore. Started in Uni when singing got you a free shot. So the more you sang, the more you drank, the more singing again seemed like a really good idea!

The first one I ever did was Tainted Love with a mate for shits and giggles at a high school fund raiser.

These days everyone gets pissed and out comes the PS2 with pirated versions of SingStar which gives you points and different ways to play karaoke (battle, tag-team, solo challenge) and everything. I have another mate who does an awesome version of the Dee-lite track Groove is in the Heart from way back when. I tend to just watch nowadays, though.

I have done it...not a huge fan..."It's Raining Men" has been done ( a vat of martinis had been consumed, that is my excuse) and "Hey Ya" is in my repetoire (I had to shake it like a Polaroid pict-cha...again martini induced). Once while in drag as Ginger from Gilligan's Island (no explanation to that) I sang "Girls Just Want To Have Fun...

I've done karaoke twice, but I was drunk each time. I'd never do it sober, because I know I sound horrible.

I LOVE karaoke, but suck at it.

Doesn't stop me from belting out songs, though.

I especially like doing country...something about the twangy banjo in the background that makes my horrible singing okay.
