I try to be as honest as possible. Sorry to hear that a JUB member has been dishonest about his story and age. A lot of people on the Internet do it.
 
Hopefully they have a good reason, like being in the "Witness Protection Program"! lol

I always try to be honest; but others may have a reason that we are NOT aware of.......

Okay, but people do lie about their age, or over exaggerate on it. I've had people who've told me that they were 38 years old when in reality they were 58 years old. Some people lie while others are honest, it seems usually the honest ones are the ones that make better friends.
 
I dont think that is true.I try to be honest in every pm and thread.If you tell the truth you never have to remember a lie.

I'm always honest on the internet. I'm eighteen, and I'm called James - Although people have often thought I was called Jacob or Jake because of my pseudonym, but Jacobim is the ancient Greek equivalent of my name, and I like how it sounds.

If I don't want people to know something, I don't tell them it, rather than trying to come up with some falsehood. In fact, since I'm still in the closet at home, I'm more honest on the internet than anywhere else.
 
I feel that if I lie I will get caught out and what is the point of making up a story for a thread because you'll get caught out and then all those who responded will get pissed off. Someone did it today and those who replied were pissed off after all the effort they had made to help, so when this person has a real problem these people will not be there to help and it may jaundice their views and make them more hesitant to offer their often excellent advice and experience to others.

So I urge honesty and that is what you will get in return.

I haven't lied online since I turned 21. Before then the worst I did was say that I was 21 when porn sites ask you, and I said I was 18 on those "Enter - Let Me Out" pages before I was 18, haha - no harm in that.

Who hasn't done that? I have on many many sites, since I was like 14 lol. The first time I tried to find porn, I went to yahoo image search and typed "penis" lol.

Seriously though, when I was younger I used to lie about my age and tell some people online I was older. Nothing illegal happened ever but a lot of over 18 gay guys don't like to chat with under 18 gay guys and I was all alone in my little gay world, I needed SOME gay person to talk to, so, that's why...​

I have severe honesty issues. I always think I'm being lied to. Then, when I find out that I am being lied to I'm not disappointed.
