  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Are you unhappy as an Homosexualist?

What is a homosexualist?

I mean, I'm seldom unhappy, and whenever I am, it's nothing to do with being gay... that's the one thing about myself I'd never want to change.

Uh, a homosexualist is someone who practices homosexualism, he's gay you know?

I have lived my entire life as a homosexualist... (IMO). :)

Too much to read (IMO). sorry I will read it once I can track down enough coffee lol :)

I am sorry to hear that, why are you banned now because you re unhappy??

Thank you all for posting it has been very much appreciated. It seems there are a lot of people who like being homosexualist but just are unhappy because of unaccepting peoples behavior towards them. Those that were happy or unhappy seemed to be happy or unhappy depending on their acceptance/response from other homosexualists. This is very interesting, thank you again and please respond if you haven't!

Wishes of the most happiness to all of you!

I'm never unhappy. Sometimes I get depressed, sometimes I get bored, sometimes I get lonesome, sometimes I get disgusted with my body-fat... but in general I'm still happy, even so.

In the immortal words of Big Gay Al, "I'm super! Thanks for asking!"

But really, where'd you get that word "homosexualist"? It sounds so hideously Victorian... I hear it with a faked Austro-German accent, a phoney Freud with a notebook and a beard, "Zo, haff you had any homozexualizt dreamz?"

Seriously there are some ridiculous posts on here some days.

I don t follow around your posts calling them ridiculous or making jokes of the way you speak so what makes you think that gives you the right to do that to me?

I am glad for you Robert~Marlénè it makes me pleased to have responses like yours, unlike the responses of Effortless_Pro which don't please me very much at all.

Are 'homosexualist' and 'homosexualism' britishism, as opposed to Americanisms? We'd never use those words here; maybe that's the confusion.

Oh I'm sorry I follow you around the bored making fun of your posts?

Quit taking words out of my mouth.

I was generalizing on some posts.

Yes and your generalization was pointed at me, do you think I would not understand that you meant me too? I make myself as clear as possible and I m sorry if that annoys you but you don t always have to respond you know? I am human too and I have rude thoughts about people but I don t share them because that is not the way people treat people in a society. You have the right to voice your opinion even when it s not asked for I guess, but just stop and think what would you feel like if people called your posts ridiculous to your face?

The only time I heard the word "Homosexualist" is from extreme right wingers who all say that gay people are "Homosexualits who are tring to recruit and destroy the family".

I suck cock. Different thing.

Well I am not an extreme right wing propogandizer here to tell you to be Christian if that s what you think, I didn t know my word-choice would be the cause of such a fuss but that s not what I mean.

Thank you for your imput.

First off I'm not saying it to your face. I'd have to be there in person. Secondly it's about the words you chose.......ridiculous.

Does everything you say have barbs? You pick at worthless points and make fun of my spelling and word-choice to take attention away from the fact that you were out of line in saying unkind things to me. End of story. You play semantic games when you knew very well the way it can be taken, even if that is not the intent.

Effortless_Pro said:
Second it's a public forum you voiced your question, my opinion was given. It might not of been the opinion you were looking for but it's what I thought....if anyone's taking words out of anyone's mouth. It's you misunderstadning what I'm saying and taking it a little more personally than you should.

Deflect, deflect, deflect. Project, project, project. The problem is mine, not yours, I am taking things too personally, everything is an 'opinion' and thus justifiable (note what I said before "You have the right to voice your opinion even when it s not asked for").

Quite frankly if someone told me my posts suck...which a lot of people often do. I'd remind myself that this is an internet forum and there are a lot of faceless people on here who like and don't like my posts so it's not that big a deal.

Saying, "People make fun of me too and I don t complain" justifies nothing. This is about you and ME. It is the behaviour of bullies to act like that, to say that it's me who is taking things too seriously, when all you re trying to do is take attention away from the fact that YOUR behavior was unacceptable and I had the nerves to confront you about it.

Your parlor tricks won t work on me, Effortless_Pro, and I hope everyone reading remembers what you ve said.

www.fathersforlife.com defines "homosexulaism" as

"An ideology that holds that homosexuality is a permissible and desirable portion of a wide range of different types and equally valid expressions of human sexuality; a belief system that advances special rights for homosexuals, such as the right to perform homosexual acts in public view"

google the word.. it's only used as a slander against the gay community.

Ah, from your quote those people have a deranged mind. I must say I did not say I didn t believe you, I only said I wasn t that kind of person and did not know my word-choice would cause problems.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=homosexualism&x=0&y=0

The defined word did not seem offensive, but I see now that it has caused you great stress (as well as other gay men) so thank you for enlightening me. What word should I use instead as to not cause problems?

as a profession, i'm not the best homosexualist out there; but i am a fairly happy one.

i'm a much better typist or florist than a homosexualist.

i guess that means i'll have to lower my rates as a homosexualist to attract a greater variety of work.

It is a political word. I first heard it in the mid-90s by Canadian Liberal MP Roseanne Skoke, who was very socially conservative and anti-gay.

I found this glossary on a "fathers for life" site:

homosexualBeing sexually attracted toward or of relating to performing sexual acts with a person of the same sex for purposes of sexual gratification and avoidance of procreation; a homosexual person

homosexualismAn ideology that holds that homosexuality is a permissible and desirable portion of a wide range of different types and equally valid expressions of human sexuality; a belief system that advances special rights for homosexuals, such as the right to perform homosexual acts in public view

homosexualistSomeone who promotes or advocates homosexualism

homosexualitySexual attraction directed toward a person of the same sex; erotic acts or sexual gratification with a person of the same sex

I'm fifty years old and only came out in the Fall of '02.

I found out then, the majority of the *gay world* has little to no use for older, out-of-shape men.

C'est la vie.

That, G, is simply a bunch of 'hooey'. (Pardon my potty mouth)

Yes, that's right, all gay men over 50 lead miserable, isolated lives, content
to sit home at night alphabetizing their spice racks and darning socks.

Puh-leeze.

That being said, they ain't gonna come knockin' at the door, either...
So, I'm just sayin' the choice is up to you.

"gay man"?

To answer the question, though... no.

Not at all.

Very glad to be gay. I think being gay is more fun than being straight and I think being gay is one of the things about me that makes me the person I am, and I happen to like me a lot.

You don't mind if I just speak from MY personal experience do you?

A rather insulting, insensitive and obnoxious comment. I said nothing of the sort, nor remotely suggested it oh Sage of the Ages.

Just how naive do you think I am? I'm quite aware of 'choice' and the application thereof. I'm also aware of the agesit bias I've run up against and INterestingly enough, some (please note,SOME) older men I've spoken to, who are NOT at home alphabetizing their spice racks and darning socks have made similar comments.

You want to address an issue knowledably? Keep it within the realm of your own experience thanks. As mentioned, I speak from my PERsonal experience, and from what others have told me about theirs.

Unfortunate that it doesn't sit well with your sensibilities. No doubt we'll all survive.

Well, goodness, G.... Who peed in your corn flakes this morning ?

I meant my post to read as supportive and mildly amusing, NOT to be offensive in any way.

I'm sorry that you did not take it in the spirit with which it was written.

No, I do not know what it's like to be over 50, (not yet, anyway) But I do have many friends who are, so I consider it to be in the 'realm of my experience.'

We've 'chatted' in good spirits for years now, and I'm surprised and a tad hurt that you'd think I'd write any thing to slight you in anyway.

But, if you feel that I did, then I apologize.

Josh

Well, just to speak from my personal experience, I hooked up with a 56-year-old guy this weekend (I feel like a mere babe at 43) and he is the cat's meow! ..| We're meeting again this week. Two dates is hardly an LTR, but he has certainly captivated my interest. He's a true romantic. (*8*) (I'm such a sap sometimes. :help:)

See my thread on "Infatuation is...".
