Avatar movie

I kind of liked the trailer. Honestly, I just hope the movie doesn't suck--I don't tend to trust anything with M. Knight Shyamalan's name attached.

can't wait to see the cast. hope everyone make it.

The Director has me worried. I donno the effects look kinda cool. But it honestly kinda looked like a little kid playing swords with a stick.

The animated series was impressive though because most of the "bending" was actually taken from some type of martial arts or fighting style.

There is definitely the potential to make this into a great movie and not a bunch of wires and flying and random kicks and punches.

The effects look nice at least.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'd love to see how they do how Aang looks on the last episode.

Although I HOPE that they don't make this movie like 1 book or something and than having to wait for the other 3..

Originally after the series ended there was an announcement that there would be an "Avatar" movie.

And I guess people assumed it would be called "Avatar"

But I guess they changed it to "The Last Airbender". I gotta a little confused too.

I saw the preview last night, and it looks promising. I was only able to catch a few episodes of the show so I know the basics and the principle of the premise. So even if M. Night slaughters the source material, me not knowing that much about it shouldn't kill the movie for me. But who knows, it's still a year away.

I actually find it kind of awkward that Shyamalan is directing it...I always thought he was more of the psychological thriller genre sort. It makes me wonder/worry how efficient the story AND the action is going to be.
