For anyone who was a fan of Batman: Arkham Asylum, here's the trailer for the next instalment.

I can't wait!!

(!)(!)(!)(!)

Sweet!

2011 is going to be a GREAT year for gaming!

Awesome! Hugo Strange! I didn't know he was supposed to be in this. I also like that their redoing a lot of character modules, like Harley for instance.

And yeah, I'm hoping 2011 will be a great year for gaming too. This year was kind of a dud... there weren't a lot of good games =/

And like Tribunal said, I was looking forward to controlling the Batmobile, or jet in this one as well. Heck, I'll take a crappy Ducati...

Was that Christopher Lee's voice as Hugo? It sounded like him in places.

I'm so excited Arkham Asylum was one of the most solid games I've ever played!

^ Yeah that part was frustrating. It took me forever to realize you had to grapple somewhere *can't remember exactly where that was*

This is one of the few times I regret not having other video game systems....

It comes out in a few days (HUZZAH!) and has been getting exceptional reviews - with everyone praising the gameplay, voice work, openness of the world and sheer amount of content!

Excitement.

Here are a few of the trailers currently out there:

Looking forward to it. Although I've go so many games to be playing, and so little time.

Yeah I am so tired of EA doing that bullshit it hurts people who want to buy the game used but since the person who owned it has the registered pass on their system it can't be registered anymore. Just more video game greed.

I've had it pre-ordered for months now. I cannot wait!

By the way, it's so good to see a hot guy in video games with Nightwing. I can't wait to play as him

As of now I'm not buying it anytime soon, especially new. I'm tired of this online pass bullshit and won't be supporting any of it.

What online pass issue?

One of the things that annoys me - and it's not this game specifically - is the requirement to download updates, patches, or installing game data before I can even start the game!

Hahaha. This game has me all sorts of excited!

EA did it with Need For Speed Hot Pursuit so anyone who buys the game used has to go out and buy an online code to play online so it would be pretty much paying for the used game then an additional code. It sucks, this is also the same with EA's other game The Sims 3 for the consoles. If you buy The Sims 3 used you will need to purchase an online code for The Sims 3 to download content from the store or even uploading custom content that you made on the game. Like I said it's EA's greed.

Same bullshit with EA forcing North American players to install their bullshit software Origin so you can play on your PC. This is the same reason why I am not planning on playing The Sims 3 Pets.

This shit is so stupid that you buy the game for $60 bucks then you have to pay more money to get a stupid code to unlock the shit that's ALREADY on the disc. You pay $60 so you should get all the content that's on the disc instead of having to pay those fuckers more money!

Don't believe it here you go...

When you buy the game it doesn't have any new updates on the disc so that is why you are required to download updates / patches. Dead Island is a perfect reason why a patch is NEEDED to play the game cause if you ignore the patch your game won't function properly which is why they had people download the new patch so it would solve issues like freezing or the major problem was the save issue which the original game version 1.0 hardly saved when you wanted it to.

Installing game data is required on PS3 and here's why. Try playing Tekken 6 on PS3, do you notice that when you play the game the load time takes a long time to load between matches? That's because the game is loading from the disc so it takes longer and longer to load the game. Tekken 6 lets you install the game data onto your system, so when it's installed you will see a huge improvement between loading times.

Sometimes you won't see much of a difference on a game that forces you to install like GTA IV. Since the game installs right when you press play on the disc, you are forced to install it. But do you know why most games on the 360 give you an option to install? Cause their disc is DVD while PS3 is Blu-Ray. DVD's are easier to read and load faster than Blu-Ray discs.

So in the end if you want your game to run perfect without issues a patch / update is REQUIRED. If you don't want to wait 20 minutes for loading, a game data install is REQUIRED... ..|

An online pass usually before came with games that had an online component. You would be locked out of the multiplayer part of the game if you didn't put the code in. And you'd only be able to get this pass if you bought new, buying the game used you have to spend an extra $10 to get access to it.

This little 'tactic' is used to battle used game sales, but it actually affects people who might not have access to the internet with their consoles. And who the hell are the publishers to tell me how to buy my game?

But with Batman:AA, it locks you out of Catwoman content. This is the beginning of it locking you out of even single player content, it's absolutely ridiculous to me.

I refuse to give any money to any company that uses online passes. Being able to connect to the internet on consoles has ruined the gaming industry.

Yes yes, gotcha. Well, in any case, I bought Arkham City today (I couldn't help myself - I loved Arkham Asylum!) - got four codes... and guess what? As the Australian 'street date' for the game isn't until tomorrow... I can't actually get any of the DLCs - not even Catwoman so, I can either choose to advance single player without her, or wait until tomorrow.

Hoo-bloody-ray!

GamerBear, I know why it's required, I am just bemoaning the fact that I have to do it at all. I know that there is an expectation that gamers will have sufficient internet access, but they should not have to, to enjoy the game. To my mind, the system should be able to handle the content.

I've been watching the trailers for each of the villains, and I'm just counting the days until I have enough saved to get the game.

I went to go get it at Walmart last night and it didn't have it! So freaking pissed. This is the third time that store was out of stock of something I wanted. The first two times it was the Green Lantern movie and now this. BS.

Guess I'll try Target for Batman later today ;-;

yeah, you're not wrong. I mean, I don't think that women should have to sex themselves up for movie roles but Anne Hathaway just looks boring in her Catwoman costume.

She hasn't done anything wrong, it's just a boring look.
