Um, can't possibly be from the guy across the street who flies his trump flag. Hot next door neighbor has a girlfriend. The other next door neighbor is like 90 and has a wife 30 years younger than him. Hmmm... I can't really think of anyone that would do this. Weird.

I posted an image of a 1960s magazine OXO advert (OXO = brand of boullion cube). It shows a sketch of a boy's face drinking looking longingly into the air, and below drinking from a cup. The caption "How Bobbie looks forward to his regular cup of oxo". It was removed for "underage content". You'll have to search for it since it's apparently too perverted to be here.
 
There's something unsettling about this, you seem to be handling the situation much better than I would.

Wasn't there a story a few years ago about a town in America where stones were appearing overnight in the streets, or embedded in the roads or something like that? I think they had symbols or prophecies painted on them. There was a thread about it in HT if I remember rightly.
 
Are you assuming that it must be the typical American who can walk beyond three neighbour's doors without taking the car?
We assume it is some wacko who could bother enough to silently ride one of those modern vehicles, like a bicycle, to harass someone living miles away.
