Big Brother 15

What is most aggravating about these people (Jeremy and Aaryn in particular) is that they probably believe that most people actually agree with their views, but that the public has been bullied into silence by the "PC police" or other such nonsence.

Didn't good ole Jeff Schraeder express a similar sentiment with regards to his homophobic comments?

Jeff did...I remember his comments vividly about the gay guy in Harry Potter. According to Jeff, most people don't want gay men around children. And then when he was called on it, he became the victim of the "witch hunt."

And CBS/Allison Grodner rewarded him by bringing him back as a housguest, a contestant on Amazing Race and an employee of Big Brother.

Barf.

Julie Chen won't say/do anything about it until Arryn calls her "Connie Chung."

She should have asked surfer dude when he was booted what he meant by the "black Candice" remarks.

Mark my words: surfer dude was supposed to have lasted longer. He will be back in one way or another. Mark my words.

I don't know about David returning after they did a fast edit job on the network show and exposed Aaryn for the racist, bigot, homophobe she is. But it did look like a segment that had been hastily thrown together, and Aaryn was the only one they exposed, though a few giggles at her rice jokes and mimics.

I think Jeremy comes off as a complete egotist asshole, and a bully just like his fake gf Kaitlan. I hope they show her threatening people and I would love Helen getting the MVP.

I was so happy to see CBS had exposed Aaryn and Jeremy to make themselves look like douche bags. I'm really digging helen, elissa, amanda, andy and nick those are my favorites. I know Ginamarie said shit but i did see she said they couldn't see black candice in the dark. I'm glad Howard knows what is going on and he's not a idiot and I won't be surprised if Spencer kermit the fag makes TV soon. I just hope elissa or helen wins VIP. And also i don't like how Aaryn said her bestfriend went home and she is doing this for him while you haven't known david that long calling him your bestfriend LOL BB too funny

Yeah I'm glad they showed Arryn and GM's racism even though they were clearly pressured into it. It's one thing for a controversy to drum up online buzz about your show, it's another when outraged fans are saying things like "CBS stands for Cutting Bigots Slack." I hope Julie brings it up at Arryn and GM's evictions AND tell them that they were fired from their jobs for it.

That was pecuilar... and I noticed that only Aryan was "exposed." Oh, AND, the person criticizing Aryan said racial shit too, but the footage didn't show that. Weird.

I guess Grodner flipped on Aryan from wanting to have her and surfer dude as the new Jeff and Jordan to making her the new Rachel Reilly (on the first go around).

Haha. Not to be all Aaryn in failing to tell minorities apart for a second, but Helen running to the vile blonde chick with power and offering to ally with her because nobody would expect the two of them working together is so from Jun Song's playbook.

The Helen/Elissa duo though <3 I hope somehow they can both survive this week but it's not looking good.

Nick's chest and Howard's chest are the only guys worth looking at this season.

Also, yes. How did we finally manage to agree completely on hot guys on a reality show season??

No, they also showed the comment that GinaMarie said as well. Glad that CBS finally caved to the pressure because they realized that it was dumb to try and conceal it from the mass public after every news publication reported it.

I really hope Aaryn goes home next week. She really does need a good bitch slapping dose of reality.

Chenbot <3 It's so nice to see her as a real person instead of a neutral host.

Love her even more now after that video. So classy! I'm just going to assume that she forced them to show it since they clearly had no intention originally of doing so. You werq that Mrs. CBS mojo Miss Thang!

A. Do you all think there aren't ridiculous amounts of racist, sexist, homophobic or generally offensive comments that you never see on air? I mean whether you think it should or shouldn't be played please don't be under the impression that Big Brother is alone in editing around such content. I also would like to point out, as I do every year, that the task put before the editors and producers of Big Brother is ABSURD. Most episodes of TV take weeks to assemble, for some over a month. They have to get things form the can to air in three to four days. When you run on that schedule ALL decisions must be expedient. You can't afford to recut an episode. You can't afford to center your episode around an event that the network censors might pull. Dealing with offensive content in television is beyond a lengthy and delicate decision process (as honestly it should be). The network wants to make sure that playing it isn't construed as endorsing it, that playing it isn't promoting or encouraging such language, they want to make sure that if it's included it will be met with anger rather than excuses. But mostly they want to make sure people won't stop watching their show if all it is a bunch of racist people saying inflammatory things. They can't tell the future and I'm sure they're hesitant about burning a character (because although they're people they are also characters) or in this case MANY characters this early in the narrative when the fate of said characters is unknown and out of their control. If they label half the cast as racist and five weeks from now only those people are left standing they will be in a tricky tricky spot and likely have killed their ratings prospects. Ultimately this is not a decision that in any universe would be made lightly or quickly. Realistically the reason why BB is mostly packaged footage and brief strategy segments stringing them together is because of it's ridiculous time table. I'd wager by the time the first huge racist/sexist/homophobic eruption night occurred 80% of the following show was already done. Moral of the story is people might get mad at what a show/network doesn't show but you CAN NOT over simplify a situation and you can not forget that Big Brother is a TELEVISION SHOW and it is not CBS's job or stated goal to be an arbiter of cultural morality, a beacon of journalistic integrity, or even a just righteous competition. They're goal is to produce content to entertain. It's hard to do. It's harder to do when you can't control the goings on. It's even HARDER to do when you have no realistic time table to do it on.

B.) How the HELL in a house where I openly loath 50% of the cast, and am indifferent to 30% do they wind up with THREE nominees all of which I actively want to stay. Just how? Statistically it's mind boggling.

C.) I can't not keep comparing Amanda to BB6 Rachel in my mind.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

I think Nick is the only hot one, and even then only sometimes. Too bad, usually there are some nice hotties to watch.
