Big Brother 15

Ugh this house just keeps getting viler and viler. After Jeremy's disgusting act with Elissa's hat (and how classy she was when BB forced him to apologize to her) I am now firmly on Team Elissa and Team Helen.

If Helen knows what's good for her, she'll stick with Elissa and ride the benefits of production manipulation. Otherwise Helen is totally the kind of under-the-radar player who would've gone far in the past but is vulnerable these days to Grodner's floater witch-hunt.

I keep hearing about this hat and all of the drama that has come from it. What happened? >_>

Oh and if the people who comment on Yahoo stories didn't enrage me enough when they were slamming Nicki Minaj as a judge on American Idol, they're also kind of defending Aaryn's comments (and Paula Deen's) with the stock responses of "BLACK PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH RACISM" "ONLY WHITE PEOPLE HAVE TO BE PC" "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" blah blah ughhhh barf people in this country are the worst sometimes.

Isn't America a lovely place? #-o

Jeremy took Elissa's hat and rubbed it between his butt cheeks -- like basically wiping his butt with her hat -- hoping she would then wear it and they could all laugh/humiliate her some more. The level of hate against Elissa is astounding considering she really hasn't done ANYTHING to ANY of them (she's no Rachel) and reminiscent of the way the Nerd Herd irrationally hated Janelle.

Naturally this was against he rules -- like Shannon using Hardy's toothbrush to scrub the toilet on Season 2 -- so BB took the hat to clean it, and had Jeremy confess/apologize to Elissa and promise to buy her a new hat etc.

What's funny is that this is the second incident involving a hat. Arryn's racist tirades came about when she thought Helen and Candice accidentally sat on her hat. But note the differences in reactions: Arryn went on and on as if someone had stabbed her in the face and told the story a bazillion times and made Candice and Helen out to be evil colored people, whereas Elissa didn't complain about Jeremy to anyone and was really classy when he told her about it.

Here's hoping Elissa & Helen win HOH/MVP between them and put up Jeremy, Arryn and GM.

Alright, that I had heard about. The Jeremy/Elissa stuff I hadn't. Do they basically all hate Elissa because they know she's Rachel's sister or...?

RE: Aaryn

Big Brother contestant Aaryn Gries has been fired from her modeling agency for offensive comments she made on the show, TMZ reports.

Gries, 22, has been seen and heard multiple times on the show's after-hours live feed making both homophobic and racist remarks -- calling a gay houseguest "queer," telling Asian-American Helen to "shut up and go make some rice," and saying, "Be careful what you say in the dark, you might not be able to see that b----," in reference to African-American contestant Candice.

Big Brother Exclusive: Take a look at the new have-not room

"Aaryn, season 15 cast member of Big Brother, revealed prejudices and other beliefs that we (Zephyr Talent) do not condone," the agency said in a statement to TMZ. "We certainly find the statements made by Aaryn on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Upon much consideration, we have decided to release Aaryn from her contract with Zephyr Talent."

An email to CBS and Zephyr were not immediately returned.

Big Brother: Meet the new houseguests!

This isn't the first time a houseguest has been under fire for comments he or she has made. In Season 9, eventual winner Adam Jasinski was fired from the United Autism Foundation for calling the children "retards."

At least somebody takes these comments seriously and acts on them.

Funny how that works: in "The Real World" Aaryn gets fired for being racist; on Big Brother she gets an edit to appear likable.

AND: call me paranoid but the only reason BB told the houseguests to stop the racism is so that they wouldn't have to broadcast it.

Alright, that I had heard about. The Jeremy/Elissa stuff I hadn't. Do they basically all hate Elissa because they know she's Rachel's sister or...?

They know she's Rachel's sister and initially they disliked her for lying about it but now Arryn/GM/Jeremy/Kaitlyn have gone SO FAR with the hate, it's irrational. And unlike her crazy ass sister, she's done NOTHING. She hasn't been annoying or grating, she hasn't shit-talked anyone or done anything bad to anyone. It's literally like Janelle and the Nerd Herd which is why even feed watchers are swarming to Team Elissa now (including moi).

It's all on the live feeds. They aren't censoring or editing it there. It's the televised show that is always edited because it's a broadcast network and it airs during the "family hour."

They do give edits to racists and homphobes on RW but they don't edit them to look better. Dustin going all homophobe was aired in all it's ugliness, and the racists on RW are edited as such. But RW is not on a major network and BB is. I would prefer they painted the right picture of a HG by just bleeping their words rather than editing around them. Most of us can read lips and would pick up on the gist of the convo and make our own judgements but BB wants to make them for us.

Great eviction, but lousy show because the edited out ALL the strategizing and ALL the controversial stuff. It's like the past week of everything we saw on the feeds, talked about online and social media, and read about in every mainstream publication, it's like NONE OF IT happened. What a lousy and dishonest edit!

CBS stands for Cutting Bigots Slack.

After seasons and seasons of unacknowledged bigotry, it's nice to see that houseguests are finally having to answer for their behavior. Still, part of me is resentful that the media coverage is being wasted on small-time dipshits like Aaryn and GinaMarie rather than, say, rapist Dick Donato from season 8. Oh, well. I really can't complain.

The live feeds are now edited, which is why Julie began referring to them as "real time feeds" during tonight's episode.

JEREMY & ARRYN WON HOH!

UGH. Now Jeremy, Arryn and GM will be safe and insufferable all week! The only hope for this week is for Elissa to MVP GM on the block as the third nominee and if the alliance of 8 votes GM out.

And now for Aryan to nominate some combination of the three non-white people in the house. Boy will the media have fun with this.

This BB may end up having more unemployed people than any show ever. GinaMarie is now out of a job.

Big Brother contestant GinaMarie Zimmerman was fired from her day job after making offensive comments on the show, TMZ.com reports.

Zimmerman, who worked as a pageant coordinator with East Coast USA Pageant, Inc., referred to welfare as "n---er insurance." The company said it was shocked Zimmerman could "display such acts of hate and racism."

Big Brother Contestant Aaryn fired from modeling agency for offensive comments

"We have never known this side of GinaMarie or have ever witnessed such acts of racism in the past," the company told the site. "We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is. We would never want her to be a role model to our future contestants."

I wonder if they tell these people what is going on in their lives while they are living as hgs? I can't imagine what my reaction would be if they told me I had been fired for what I had said on the show, and having it right there on tape to prove your guilt. I hope that they sign up and sign away their complete privacy and are left in the dark. That's mean, but their comments this season are particularly vile.

Now David is going to be in for a shock when he finds his truths spitting at him from online.

And Jeremy is such a a-hole egotist. That wine sneak and tell and bullying was just putrid.

Apparently Jeremy and Arryn had to choose one person between them to be HOH and Jeremy let Arryn have it. So...

ARRYN IS HOH
