Big Brother 15

I love Helen too but fear the influence Spence has over her. She did say to Candice that perhaps they are being manipulated by Spencer, so I hoped she was on to him but then she was sharing thoughts and ideas with him. I just hope she is as wise as I think she is because she certainly understands this game.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

Jeremy is such a little asshole and I can't wait until somebody takes him and aaryn down a few pegs.

I'd call him a bully. He really comes off that way.

And no way is Nick gay. It's just not his personality.

I can't stand her, but pre-racist comments I thought slip might enjoy her in that trainwrecky Rachel/Abi-Maria way.

Yeah, I only like my trainwrecks when they're LOL fun nuisances rather than vile hatemongers. Abi was immature and Rachel is insecure and lacks self-esteem but they're not racists or offensive on that level.

I'm watching the second episode now and LOL at watching this stuff with a delay. Princess Aaryn Nation claiming she'll be MVP more than once and then two meathead guys saying that America loves girls and will always vote them MVP. Clearly they don't know about the crazy cat ladies.

Nick is gay?

Yeah I agree the edits have been horrible. Missing out on a lot of good drama!

I can't believe the real estate girl made out with McCrae.

whatt how do we know NICK IS gay?

Geez, you gotta love these guys. They're so loose of tongue and sponge for brains. None of them ever thought about what they should or shouldn't say.

'Big Brother 15': Don't overlook the misogyny

jeremy-spencer-big-brother-15.jpgIn all the hullabaloo around some of the "Big Brother 15" houseguests making racist and homophobic remarks, it seem to have gone somewhat unnoticed that the misogyny in the house is just as bad -- if not worse. Remember, you can always sign up for the live feeds to see for yourself.

The main perpetrators are Spencer Clawson and Jeremy McGuire. They are constantly referring to women as "b****es" and "c***s" -- though we haven't heard Jeremy use the c-word, that one is solely on Spencer. They have both also bragged about their sexual activities; Spencer about his hook-ups outside the house and Jeremy about his hook-ups with fellow houseguest Kaitlin.

Just last night on the feeds, Spencer was talking about he dates girls until they sleep with him, then he moves on -- "If a guy asks you out, he's really just saying, 'I want to go through the civil process of f***ing you.'"

He then wanted to detail the sexual exploits between himself and his current girlfriend, but the ladies of the BB house actually told him not to because she wouldn't want that on the live feeds.

Score one for the BB ladies, though we have yet to hear them ask Jeremy or Spencer not to call them derogatory names, which the guys do to their faces all the time. They may not be directing the names at the girls they are actually speaking to, but they are using them to refer to the other women in the house. And nobody ever tells them not to.

Maybe people don't think the sexism is as "bad" as racism or homophobia, but hateful language is hateful language. It's all about marginalizing and putting down a group of people and the attitudes towards women in the house (even from some of the women) are just as awful as the attitudes towards other classes of people.

The racism and homophobic remarks also continue, as Jeremy called Elissa a f***** and Aaryn used an "Asian" accent (think Mickey Rooney as Ping) to say that when Helen evicts someone, she should say, "No happy endings for you" and GinaMarie added that Helen can do her nails.

We know we should stop being surprised by anything like this, but ... wow.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

I don't think he is gay. In the first episode when all the cast members were being introduced, he talked about his wish for certain types of girls being in the house. I already had a crush on him by then and when he said that - I felt the air go out of my tires.

Geez, you gotta love these guys. They're so loose of tongue and sponge for brains. None of them ever thought about what they should or shouldn't say.

I love how the houseguests only intervene when it comes to talking about Jeremy's girlfriend "because she wouldn't want that on the feeds."

I blame Allison Grodner for this poor casting. The last couple of years it's been boring casts or racist casts (this year). She really went searching in the sewer for these creatures.

Gosh. I wish I could stop watching the show, but it's become a summer tradition since middle school.

i told you i refused to watch the shit and the fact that big brother hides and edits this pisses me offf.

i will just read updates from now.

This show is a waste of time for me. What alison grodner is showing us is that shes not talented and BB will eventually go down hill and be like the BAD GIRLS CLUB, pure trash TV

jeremy, Gm, spencer, AARON(pun intended) and the rest of the KKK clan will be receiving hell when they come out of the house.

This makes Danielle from last season look like a SAINT.

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

david's pants constantly were hanging low - even on the broadcast shows they had to blur out his pubes hah

I really love how I kept pulling the race card last season and nobody fucking thought anything of it.

This is the only post I will make in this thread. I don't watch American big brother.

I don't think they are loving the attention since the ratings took a nose dive. Then on eviction night there was a drop of 500,00 viewers after the eviction that didn't hang around for HoH.

What is most aggravating about these people (Jeremy and Aaryn in particular) is that they probably believe that most people actually agree with their views, but that the public has been bullied into silence by the "PC police" or other such nonsence.

Didn't good ole Jeff Schraeder express a similar sentiment with regards to his homophobic comments?

Re: The Men of Big Brother 15

Another "Big Brother" houseguest is on the outs with their employer ... this time it's Spencer Clawson, whose company is already laying the groundwork to hand him his walking papers.

Clawson has been captured on "BB" cams calling one houseguest "Kermit the F**" and praising Hitler as a gifted speaker.

Clawson serves as a railroad conductor for Union Pacific, who released a statement on their website saying, "The values represented by Spencer Clawson's comments during the Big Brother show do not at all align with Union Pacific's values."

They continued, "Mr. Clawson is on unpaid leave of absence while participating on Big Brother. Union Pacific does not condone his comments."

They ended their statement by saying they are "acting in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreement terms regarding Mr. Clawson" ... which sounds like they are setting the stage to fire his ass first chance they get.

Both GinaMarie and Aaryn have already lost gigs due to their racist comments on the show.

I wonder if Chenbot has any say about some of the things that go on, and especially the racist actions and comments aimed at Helen. Since she is married to one of the biggies at CBS I would think she would be livid.

Julie Chen won't say/do anything about it until Arryn calls her "Connie Chung."
