So, with the death of Antonio Pope (Isaiah Washington), do you think that the ratings will do any better? After all, if part of the resistance to this show (my own included) was based on Washington's appearance on the show, and now he's off it (minus flashbacks), do you think people will give the show another shot?

Yeah, I know it has some issues, and it needs to be seriously sharpened, but....

Hubby likes it so we watch. It's lost more than half of its debut audience and was really hyped by NBC. I doubt Washington's departure will really help the ratings much. Her character just isn't likeable and unless they keep the romance with Tom, there's very little to like. The epi at the college where she played Brit and spoke in her normal voice was the closest connection I'd felt to the character so far.

i definitely hated whenever he was on screen. it's the same with seinfeld i can't stand watching re-runs because of michael richards.

and ur right. the show has some serious issues. sharpened is a good way to put it. there's too much shit going on. i think the sister element is a huge mistake especially so early on.

also jamie sometimes acts like she's 16 when it comes to guys and how naive she is. it's annoying. we're supposed to believe she was "chosen" because she was so smart and special. i just don't see it.

the company she works for has the weirdest organizational structure.

and lastly the dude she likes and her have weird chemistry to me. she actually had more chemistry with isaiah, the asian guy, and that scientist guy she rescued. i don't buy her being that into the guy. really the whole relationship is so random and stupid.

also i agree the college episode was the best minus the tom parts. u could connect to her in her accent. but also it was good because she was a single girl without the sister. the first step is to get rid of the sister

I actually like the show-not love- just like-but I laughed when they killed off Isaiah. I think we all see where his career is going. And I'm glad they have Jordan Bridges on it- He is a VERY good looking guy, and I've never thought anyone in that family was particularly good looking.

I love the 70's show but this show sucks!!! I stuck with it till about a 3 weeks ago? The last one I saw was when she was at a university using her own british accent even when she shouldn't have been. The show is sooooooooo boring!! She was the wrong choice. It's just not good. It makes me sad cause a show like this is right up my alley. But it struck out. I don't think there is any saving it.

Everytime she disappears on a mission and lying to her sister. It reminds me of Alias the first season. Except Alias was 100 times better. I really wish it was half as good cause I really like to see it survive but I don't think it will. If it's not for the writer strike I think they'll pull the plug already.

Has anyone one noticed how they are slowly adding sound effects to Jamie's bionics now.? I'm trying to like the show since i was a huge fan of the original. Mistake #1 they made was by calling her Jamie Sommers. NBC could have made an episode or 2 maybe based on Lindsay Wagner to have been kinapped as a guest spot.....called " Jamie Sommers Kidnapped"

I think they went about the whole season opening all wrong and should have taken the new show where the old one left off. That was the mistake they made. We All remember Jamie Sommers as Linday Wagner. And Isiah Character....Who says he is really dead?

Bionic Woman has become the hour I waste between America's Next Top Model and CSI: NY ... This show has had it's ups and downs for me. One week the show can be really good and the next week it can be totally boring. Does anyone else think the CIA agent Jamie likes is a cheap way of giving us the Six Million Dollar Man without really giving us the Six Million Dollar Man. I don't know if this show will be picked up for a second season, I feel that the writers didn't really explain everything regarding why she was picked to be the Bionic Woman, it seems like they just throw her into it, where was the build up? Where was the deep storylines?

IW was one of the reasons to watch. His character being killed off won't help the show.
They may as well cancel it now.

Actually, his being on the show in the first place killed a lot of interest in the show; how often do you get a network putting out a PR piece about it being a good thing that they hired a violent homophobe?

Otherwise, I think that you're right; the show is pretty done and someone should put a fork in it. Too many people have slammed it for one reason or another (the sister, the rain, the lack of a decent backstory, answering too many questions too quickly), and it just seems like someone wanted a no-daggets rule (ie, "Let's rebuild it without any of the fun things and 300% of the angst!"). I'd like to say that the writer's strike was responsible, but it's just one of many factors involved, and most of them were in place even before a pilot was written.

Ah well...I had such hopes...
