This past weekend I was out of town staying at a hotel.

Like many hotels now instead of providing a bar of soap in the shower they have a pump with body wash.

And it got me thinking - was body wash invented by a 14 year old who didn't want his Mom to find his lube in the shower?

It's been years since I stayed in a motel (never a hotel that I can recall), but I guess I'm not surprised the dinky bars of soap I remember got replaced with body wash...

I wonder if guests try to siphon out as much body wash to take with them (along with towels and other items that aren't locked down) when they leave?! After all, I've heard the line about hotel room art only needs one quality: too big to easily fit into a suitcase!

I prefer bar soap. Body wash has too many chemicals and feels filmy no matter how thoroughly I rinse.

I always felt like I had trapped grime/bacteria under that layer of film. Couldn't stand the thought of it.

14-year-old me once used Prell for lube (not in the shower). I learned the hard way that it was not a good idea to not thoroughly wash it off afterwards.

Did your dick become too luscious, bouncy and full of body?

I also use bar soap, although there were times I tried liquid soap. Bar soap is probably better value, which appeals to a cheapskate like me. Although the soap I get isn't cheap--it might be possible to get a liquid soap/bodywash for less. But it's easy on my skin. I can remember making do at various times--like supply shortages during 2020--and noticing my hands weren't happy with the mix of washing hands constantly + "the best I can do this week" bar of soap of the moment.

Oddly, I have a vague memory of my family using liquid soap when I was young. Just for the bathroom sink. I have no idea what the thinking might have been. Maybe the hope it would be neater?

This brand is OK.

It doesn't get my highest recommendation...but it's from Dollar Tree. 24 ounces for $1.25. Good value, cleans well, but minimal fragrance.
