Boston Legal

That show is so damn well written!! It is an awesome show!!

I love Jerry!! Yea for kicking that rude guy with the coffee's ass! Then he went around head butting people, brilliant!

Goodbye Boston Legal :=D: :wave:

wow i almost cried well not really but it was sad, but they made it funny.

I loved all season with the writers juggling the fantasy and the reality.

"This could be a TV show"

"On another network"

"One that cares"

lol

Damn, 5 minutes left and that's it forever.

Wow!! That was great! What a way to go! That was definitely some of the best writing of any show this year. I loved it that Denny & Allan got married--I think it portrayed same-sex marriage in a way that people could really understand the issue. B y taking the gay aspect out of the equation they were able to show the benefits that married couples get, and by showing that there can be many different kinds of marriages, but the benefits should be the same in all of them..
And getting married by Scalia? I will miss this show. It seems so over the top and yet it makes so much sense.

The show went out with a bang !

Sad to see it go, that's for sure. I can't think of anything on network TV that could hold my interest for two hours like that finale just did...

A little too much with all the slow motion shots, but I'm nit picking.

Candace is *such* a class act.

Just think of it... it ended with a same sex marriage being performed on a fishing dock by a chief justice. :gogirl:

God bless you, David Kelly.

^^Not the Chief Justice, but surely the most conservative Justice.

David Kelly is a genius.

I loved when all the Chinese men called Shirley a bitch in Chinese.

And Alan riffing on SCOTUS right in front of them.

So the show is done? forever? I didn't know that it was on its way out. What happened in the final episode? TIVO didn't record it.

The firm was taken over by Chinese investors. Shirley spoke at a meeting with the Chinese firm, insulted the Chinese by asking her name to be taken off the company name. She gave a long monologue lamenting the Chinese take-over of America, especially American law firms. The Chinese retaliated by firing all the lawyers in the firm.
Alan Shore got their jobs back in a passionate speech before the Chinese. Shirley quit to get married to that other lawyer in the firm whose name I can't remember(that guy from Night Court).
In the subplot Denny Crain is dealing with his worsening Alzheimer's disease. There is a promising drug that Denny can't get because it hasn't been adequately tested yet for approval by the FDA. So Alan goes before the SCOTUS to argue that seriously ill patients should be able to get experimental drugs before they are approved by the government.
Meanwhile Alan is showing worsening symptoms. He is worried about who will take care of him and his finances,so he asks Alan Shore to marry him. Alan says yes. A gay group takes them to court, saying that they should not be allowed to have a same-sex marriage because they are both openly straight. The judge decides that since there are many different reasons that couples marry Denny and Alan can wed.
Alan pleads his case for Denny before the SCOTUS. Alan loses the case, but in an addendum to the ruling they allow Denny to receive the drug that may help him.
Denny and Alan and Shirley and whatshisname fly to a lake in Canada to get married in a double ceremony. Who should they happen to run into but fishing buddies Dick Cheney and Anthony Scalia. Scalia performs the nuptials.
The end.
Did I miss anything?

Excellent ending to the series! I got out of the habit of watching it last season, and never started again. I watched the finale because it WAS the finale, and now will have to go buy the last couple of seasons and catch up! I forgot what a great show it was. :)

When Allen agreed to marry Denny, Denny mentioned a short blurp about Crain and Shore MAY be on another network. Did anyone else catch that remark? Has anyone read/hear anything about a spin-off?
