Britney Spears has christened her new album "Blackout." The Jive set is due Nov. 13 and is led by the single "Gimme More," which rockets 68-3 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week after selling 179,000 downloads, her first top 10 hit since "Toxic" in March 2004.

A video for the track hits iTunes today (Oct. 5) and will premiere Monday on traditional broadcast outlets.

A track list has yet to be announced, but “Blackout” is known to include the songs “Heaven on Earth,” “Radar,” “Piece of Me” and “Break the Ice.” Among the production and songwriting collaborators are Bloodshy & Avant, Nate “Danjahandz” Hills and Kara DioGuardi.

I dont think she will do much or any promo. Jive will just let the record sell itself because if Britney does interviews all people will want to talk about his her personal life and thats not cool.

...Have u DL'd the "Blackout" Promo yet... It contains "Heaven On Earth," "Radar," "Break The Ice," and many more... It doesn't have the T-Pain track "Cold As Fire" or the lead single "Gimme More" but it's cool if haven't DL'd the other promos floatin' around... :wave:
 
I think Alicia Keys is gonna mop the floor with her in the first week of sales.

Sucks that Cold As Fire didnt make. Maybe it be on the European version. I like Let Go because she gets to show the world she can sing. Although i already knew this. And she can hit the high note. Listen to "Where Are You Now" on Ooops!

Britney is my favorite artist and I am so excited for the album.

I love everything that I have been hearing.

Gosh, I love Brit so much and want her to take out her new music, tour, etc. BUT I really want to get her life together more than anything.

She had a falling out with her mom this summer, but she is supposedly fixing their relationship. This is good if true because she really needs her.

Britney recorded ALOT of songs for Blackout. Jive is currently listening to and deciding which songs to put on the album.

I hope they pick the best of the best.

LOL i was watching Nancy Grace on CNN and she is a fan of Britney. She said Britney has so much talent and cant understand why Britney wasnt dancing in te itunes video.

Nancy was like, "i can do what she is doing , but viewers dont worry i wont." LOL

She can be cool sometimes.

I guess Nancy never understood the concept of the video.

My gosh i must have listened to Radar 100 times today non stop LOL

Although i cant say i am addicted because when i heard Umbrella for the 3rd time i got hooked and had to get my fix all day. If i had to leave the computer it was on my ipod.

Its a really good track though, Radar is.

her music was one of the reasons that started the pop thing back in 1999. i can't wait for her to scare everyone away with her amazing music :)

Yeah, the Promo CD is amazing and Radar, Get Back, and State of Grace are all amazing songs.
 
I know i'm picking up this cd for sure. Love the album title and the cover is pretty cool as well.
 
This album makes so happy because listening to the tracks, it just reminds me how super talented Britney is.

She just needs to get herself together and she will be just fine.


State of Grace is excellent and a little deep; but i heard it might not make the album, crazy huh? I get a "Frozen" vibe from it.

Beautiful and deep song.

Its songs like these that you realize how beautiful a voice she has. Yes she will never belt like Celine but she can hold her own. She has alot of control over her vocals. I can feel the emotion in her voice.
