I know this show has been over for years. I used to watch it in its earlier seasons but not religiously like others did. I eventually quit at about season 4.

For some reason I seem to find myself entranced by the reruns. I don't remember it being this good and its fun not knowing what happens next. I'm looking into buying the dvd box set but I want all the seasons together. Hopefully I can find it.

I never really liked it. Although through Uni, we ended up studying it in media class from time to time, and I lived with a guy who LOVED it. Because of him, I think I've seen just about all of them. Season 4 I think was the worst of them all;5 the best. They should have left it there, though.
Spike is the only thing worth watching for!

Possibly one of the best shows ever. We own all 7 seasons. The first 6 were great , the last season was just ok.It was pretty ground breaking and had a lot more influence than anyone gives it credit for.

Had it not been for Buffy, there are a lot of shows that would have never happened- Angel(obviously), Smallville, Supernatural, Charmed to name just a few. It really changed the way that horror was portrayed on TV. And Xander was really cute for the first 4 seasons, before he got all bloated. Not to mention Willow and Tara, still the coolest same sex couple ever portrayed on American TV.

I've just checked the amazon.com, the complete series box set used to be available there. The box set contains all 7 seasons and an extra disc with new special features.
Well I only have the series on pirate DVDs here in China, but I wanted to have the box set if only I had enough money.

My favorite will always be the first season however I remember even thought I was only in about 8th grade at the time, I remember thinking to myself "whats the point of killing The Master" at the end of the very first season of the show?

However as a huge fan of Horror in general, I will always regared the episode known as "Hush" as one of the scariest works of horror ever recorded. It was amazing and what made it even greater was the fact that it was from a WB television show.

I lost intrest in the show after that whole "half cyborg being made by that woman with her own private army, and buffy ended up falling inlove with the guy" LoL whatever that storyline was......... that was the last season I remember watching.

i am such a huge fan lol , like the first poster i stopped watching about season 4 mianly coz they took it off the tv in oz coz of ratings and last year decided to buy all 7 seasons and they are amazing , the best show to ever grace tv screens

OMG! Buffy was the best. My favorite episodes are "HUSH" and "THE BODY". Both episodes should have earned Emmy nods. It's a shame that people considered it to be a frivolous show when there was such heart and thought behind the episodes.

Well, "Hush" is also one of my favourite episodes, and I used to think it had the most creation, but after watching "Once More with Feelings", I finally knew that an action and a little sci-fi show like Buffy can also be made that way.

Buffy is still a landmark in tv. As a previous poster mentioned it paved the way for a lot of current tv shows. It became a cultural icon. Even those who didn't watch it knew who Buffy was.

My fave episodes are Hush, Once More With Feeling, The Body, Amends, The Gift, Becoming and Chosen.

I loved Angel as well (hence my username) although the last season was the weakest.

Buffy is a one of the kind where else you can have a musical episode, by the way is my favorite episode of the show.

and the best song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noNk3IeRvxw

I'd seen it before but yesterday was the episode where Tara and Buffy get shot when Warren goes nuts. It was incredibly sad.

My favorite episode would definitely have to be "Hush", of course "The Body" which I'm assuming is where Buffy's mother dies. I had that episode on my DVR for so long. It's so great.

I've also got the first two seasons on my ipod.

I wish FX would show more Buffy re-runs. They used to have it on every day with like 2 episodes back to back...now its on at 7am.

GRRR, ARRRRGGGG

(get it? inside buffy joke)

I can't possibly describe my love for the television masterpiece that is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. There are many times where I find myself hopeless or in a tough situation, and I think "Hmmm, what would Buffy do?" People might think that the show's just about killing vampires and demons, but it's much more than that. The battle against the demonic world is synonymous with the battle against the demons within your mind, your soul. Season 6 makes that really clear with Willow's wicca rampage and Buffy's apathy for her mortal life. Season 7 was my favorite. Buffy not only saved the world but changed it in a major way, allowing there to be thousands of slayers across the globe. My favorite fight scene was in Season 3, between Buffy and Faith. That was one hot chick fight.

How can you say you hate something when you have never seen it? If you were to watch it for a bit and then say you didn't like it, that's different, but since you have never seen it, why hate it if you never gave it a chance?

I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!! we have a used dvd store in az and they sell the used seasons for $20.00. i'm only missing seasons 3&4. I couldn't even pick a fav episode cause i liked them all. i was a bit annoyed by dawn i must say. to much whining and screaming.

Buffy was a ground-breaking show. I absolutely loved it. I definitely loved Season 5. Glory rocked.
