I have listened to this every year since 1970 when we performed it in high school, believe or not.
I know most of you will not like this, but I would take it to a desert island. Listen to the whole piece, not just the opening.

The very best recording is Ernest Ansermet, L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande, however I cannot find an online copy.

This is the best performance I could find.
