Hi everyone, this is a story that is based on the T.V programme HEROES. It is based in London. There is no sex in this series.

"Where's Derek Simmonds? He was supposed to meet us here half an hour ago," whispered Gabriel Bishop.

"I was just wondering that, I'm starting to get nervous. It could be a Company trap," replied Irony.

"Don't worry about it," said Claude, "the Company doesn't operate in this way; if they wanted to trap us they'd burst in all guns blazing. Not in public, it's never in public and you can't get more public than the tower of London."

A few minutes passed, but nobody came. "It's four o'clock, I think he has arrived," said Claude, being sure not to directly look in the direction of the man who just walked in.

"It could be him," said Gabriel.

"Um, excuse me, are you Claude?" asked a nervous Derek Simmonds.

"Depends who's asking."

"I phoned you yesterday, you said you know people with abilities too," Derek responded.

"Yes, yes I do," said Claude, holding his hand up and making it go invisible, while Gabriel Bishop made the pencil in his hand turn to gold. "What's your power?" asked Claude.

"I can make electricity, just by clicking my fingers and it flies out."

"Why did you phone us? Have you got a problem with your power?" asked Irony.

"Yes, can we go somewhere else? I really need to show you. It's hard to explain," replied Derek.

Half an hour later, Claude, Gabriel Bishop, Irony and Derek arrived at an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of London. "So what's the problem with your power then?" Gabriel Bishop asked.

"Whenever I use it, I discharge. I release so much it is hard for me to stop," replied Derek.

"Maybe I can help," said Irony. "My power is to reduce the powers of others, if you learn to use it while it is weakened you should be able to use it when it is at the usual strength."

Claude and Irony were showing Derek Simmonds how to use his power when Gabriel Bishop saw something out of the corner of his eye. A moment later, he caught sight of something in the shadows. Suddenly, a Company agent burst into the warehouse. Gabriel Bishop stopped time and saw the Company agent, who was just starting to release fire from his hands.

Gabriel Bishop, seeing the agent go for Derek, used telekinesis to make a door crash into the agent. The fight raged on with Gabriel Bishop always staying a step up from the agent. But Gabriel Bishop slipped up, he let the agent hit him with a burst of fire. The agent, who was just about to scorch Gabriel Bishop, released a cataclysmic burst of fire; however, just as it was about to hit Gabriel Bishop it trickled away into a tiny flame.

The agent looked round, he saw that Irony had grasped his arm and was draining his power. Gabriel Bishop and Claude proceeded to tie up the agent, and Irony, Derek, Gabriel Bishop and Claude left, with the agent bound up inside their van.

I've not watched Heroes, but I've heard of them and I was a definite comic book junkie as a kid - Superman, Spiderman, Batman, Captain America/The Justice League, Aquaman, Wonderwoman, The Green Hornet. The Green Lantern, Flash, and who knows who else.

I could get into a knock off of superheroes.

You've got a decent writing style. A little hurried, perhaps, but we can chalk that up to eagerness at getting your first effort out for us.

I look forward to your future efforts.
No, not everything here needs to be sexual in orientation.

Chapter 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Company agent shrieked as he was tortured by Gabriel Bishop. Gabriel electrified him as Derek and Irony hurled buckets of water over him. "Why are you here!" yelled Claude.

"I was sent by Mrs. Petrelli to bag and tag Derek."

"Why me! What have I ever done that gives you the right to come and attack me?" exclaimed Derek "Why me..."

Suddenly, the agent regained a smile on his face, saying, “you better watch out, electricity can only hold me out for so long.” Gabriel then, deciding that electricity was nothing compared to this Company agent's training, grabbed a strand of his hair. He then used alchemy to turn that stand of hair into gold, and said, “now either you talk, or I’ll do this to your whole body.”

At that moment, the agent's partner came up behind them. The agent fired six rounds, straight into Gabriel’s chest, but he healed momentarily. However, they both escaped. Irony, Derek, Gabriel and Claude pursued them through the streets of London, but they were Company agents, and even with Gabriel and Claude’s training they managed to escape. “Where did they go?” asked Derek.

"We lost them, they escaped in the alleyways,” responded Claude. “This could be dangerous. Now they know we’re working together they’re going to send more agents, and unless we find help, we will be easy pickings for them"

"Don't worry," said Gabriel, "We know how they work, we know their mindset, they won’t be back for a while. You know the Company, all they do before operations is plan, they never rush into anything.".

They decided to return to the warehouse, where Gabriel and Irony took Derek into a room to help him learn to control his ability. “So remember,” said Irony, “if you’re about to discharge, force your hands together, this way the current is more focused”. Irony then released Derek from his power, letting him take full control of it. “Try it now.”

Derek used his power, at first everything seemed good, Derek used his power and he didn't discharge, but then Gabriel Bishop came in and knocked over a chair. The shock caused Derek to overload. Irony tried to touch him, but as he was about to, Derek let out an outburst of energy causing Irony to be hurled backwards.

While retreating to the next room Irony shouted, “How are we going to stop him? If we don’t, he’s going to die.”

Gabriel Bishop knew he could reach him, thanks to his ability of rapid cellular regeneration, but had no way of stopping him when he did.

“Turn the room into gold, Gabriel, if you can the charge from the room will stop, which should allow Irony to reach him.” Gabriel did this, but instead of this weakening Derek's ability, it made it stronger, canceling out the room's charge.

“Irony, you've got to try and stop him,” bellowed Claude, struggling to be heard over the noise.

“I've got an idea," said Irony, "If I use my ability while walking toward him I might be able to create a shield for myself, negating the effects of his ability.”

“But when you get closer to him, you will have to stop the shield to weaken him,” said Gabriel. “You might be killed!”

“It’s worth trying,” said Irony, walking into the room. Then, Irony managed to stop Derek, knocking him out in the process.

"I need you to help him regain consciousness. Then I want you to train him," shouted Claude.

"Sure thing," said Irony.

The dilemmas of untrained super powers - unleashing itself all over the place without control. Kind of like early puberty and wet dreams!

I'm getting used to your characters, bit by bit.
Thanks for the efforts.

Cheers DonQuixote, I should have the next chapter up later or if not tomorrow

“Claude, where have you been?” asked Derek.

“I can’t tell you that; it’s strictly private, between me and two of my friends.”

“What do you mean? Private? We’re supposed to be a team,” replied Derek.

“We are,” assumed Claude, “I just don’t need to tell you about this.”

Derek, eschewed, walked over to Irony and Gabriel. “Who’s our next assignment then?” he asked.

“A man called Richard Gold,” responded Irony, “and his power is alchemy.”

“Opportune name, then.”

“I guess,” said Gabriel, “but then you’d be called Derek Lightning.”

“Do you know where he is? He seems to be pretty elusive.”

“All we know is that ever since he got his Midas touch, he’s shot up from living in a one bedroom apartment to being the biggest gold dealer in the South of England, with his assets quickly expanding.”

An hour later and the team were sitting in their van outside of Hyde Park, watching Richard Gold on a picnic with his wife and three children. “Nothing strange here, what are we looking for? He just seems to be using his power for his own avail.”

“What you have to learn Derek, is that the Company doesn’t care if it doesn’t have solid evidence, they will take you, test you and slap you in Level 3.”

“Anyway Claude, why did you have to steal this crappy old van, we could’ve stolen a jag.”

“Being inconspicuous, it’s all that matters. If we are in a jag and he sees us, he is going to suspect us much more than in an old van.”

“Wait, wait, wait. Blonde, two o’clock, she’s been staring at us for the last two or three minutes.”

“Oh no,” said Claude. “Elle Bishop, a Company agent, Bob’s daughter, very powerful.”

“Is this an assignment?” asked Irony.

“No,” replied Gabriel Bishop, “there isn’t another one of them and Elle was never trusted to go on missions alone.” At that moment Elle looked straight into Gabriel’s eyes and smashed her hand down, electrifying the van in the process, causing its petrol tank to explode.

“Guys, guys are you okay?” shouted Gabriel Bishop, “I must be the only one who survived, I must have healed from the burns.” Gabriel looked around and saw that everyone was fine, nobody was even injured.

“How did this happen? Why aren’t we dead?” asked Derek.

“Hey guys, how you doing?” replied Abigail, who had encased them in a force field. “I was going to leave but, you know the whole thing with you exploding and me saving you.”

“Very funny Abigail, How did you know where we were?” said Irony, clearly annoyed.

"Since we left the Company, we have still been keeping track of their missions, we were keeping tabs on Elle to make sure she wasn't going to do anything stupid. And once you've been a Company agent, you know when you're being watched, and when someone's doing the watching." As she was saying this the police surrounded the van, headed by Officer Bonkin.

“Step away from the vehicle, put your hands up!”

They all did as instructed, were handcuffed and brought to Kensington Police Station. At the police station they were brought into a room and interrogated. "How did you escape? That blast would have killed most people, and you all escaped without a scratch on you," said the captain.

"Luck," said Irony.

"Chance," said Gabriel.

"Fortune," said Derek.

"So," said Officer Bonkin, "we have... Gabriel Bishop, Robert Smith, Abigail Grisby, Derek Simmonds and Claude Rains, the invisible man huh? Well then," said Officer Bonkin, "your van was destroyed, none of you had a scratch on you and you won’t tell me anything. I can only assume this was an insurance scam, so I'm going to have to nick you."

"Wait!" said Irony, racking his brain to think of a plan, "can I talk to you alone, for just a few seconds?"

"Are you going to tell me about what happened?"

"Hand on heart," said Irony, while leaving the room with Officer Bonkin. Irony grabbed his arm and drained his power, exactly like he would to a person with an ability. But, as Officer Bonkin didn't have an ability Irony was draining his life-force. As he drained it further, Officer Bonkin, became weak, his skin shriveled, his eyes glossed over and his brain went into recession causing him to become immobile. “Let’s go!” shouted Irony.

“Wait!” yelled Gabriel, “grab me, I’ll teleport out of here. Claude and Abigail run, I can only teleport two at a time."

At that moment a police officer burst into the room. “Put your hands up! Get down on the floor slowly.”

“Grab me!” bellowed Gabriel. Everyone did.

“Put your hands up, or I’ll shoot, look what you did to Bonkin, he's out cold!”

Nobody let go and Gabriel squinted in concentration. The policeman fired.

“Aaargh!” howled Abigail. Irony went to grab her, but he was too late, Gabriel had teleported and Abigail was left behind. They materialised back into the warehouse.

“We need to save her,” said Derek, “imagine what it’s going to do to Lee”.

"Where's Claude? It's been twenty minutes," complained an anxious Gabriel, "I hope he escaped." Just then Claude burst through the door. "Claude! where's Abigail?"

"She’s okay, half dead, but she’ll survive. She managed to deflect the bullet with a force field, it was heading straight for her heart, but it hit her in the arm. The police grabbed her and taken her to St. Edmund's Hospital, but she’s being transferred to Wormwood Scrubs tomorrow. She’s being heavily guarded tonight so we’ll never get to her. We will have to make the escape next week."

"Great, we lost the guy, exploded in a van, got nicked, got Abigail shot and got arrested," said Gabriel.

All of a sudden, a woman entered; she ran in so quickly everything in the room flew up, as if it were in a vortex. “Hi, I’m Daphne. I’m here to bring you a message from Mr. Petrelli, he’s set up a new breed of the Company, called Pinehearst.”

“Let me guess, Daphne Millbrook, speedster, Lawrence, Kansas,” said Gabriel.

“How did you—” said Daphne.

“Company,” replied Claude. “So that’s what Peter’s been up to, didn’t think he had it in him to set up a company.”

“Oh no, it’s Arthur Petrelli, not Peter. Anyway, gotta run, here’s our card,” she said, and quick as a flash, left the room.

“So who is Arthur Petrelli, then?” asked Derek.

“Well I don't really know, Arthur Petrelli was one of the 12 founders of the Primatech Company,” said Gabriel, “but he died about a year ago.”

“It could be someone like Candice, with the power of illusion, or a shape shifter like James Martin,” replied Claude.

“It could be a very powerful telepath, but that person would have to extremely experienced, and I don’t think anyone is that powerful,” said Irony.

“Wait,” said Claude, “when I was training Peter he told me about a cheerleader who could rapidly heal, Bennet’s girl, what was her name? Oh, Claire, that was it.”

“But Arthur had been dead for a year; could Claire’s blood really do that?” questioned Gabriel.

“Wait, wait, wait,” said Derek, clearly frustrated. “Who is Peter?”

“Peter Petrelli, he has empathic mimicry, he exploded over Kirby Plaza, almost released the Shanti virus, and shot his brother Nathan.”

“Wait, we’ve been working together and you haven’t told me anything about this!”

“No.”

“Well here’s what you’re going to do,” pointing at Claude and Gabriel. Derek was getting angry. “You’re putting us in danger because of the Company agents, you almost got Abigail killed. Now you’re going to tell me your history, everything about it.”

“Okay," said Claude, "it all started when..."

13Hangers,
Thanks for the continued installments. You've been prolifically writing, while some of us have been dealing with more mundane "company men" so to speak.

I'm starting to get into your version of Heroes, and the assorted characters, but it has been a power packed assortment of characters, so far.

Well, if you like the "power packed assortment" be ready for a LOT more
