Cocktails, Anyone?

It's 5:00 PM here and cocktail time.

I'm trying to decide between a Gin (Hendrick's) Martini or a Manhatten.

Anyone on JUB into the whole cocktail culture? If so, what's your drink of choice?

Stryker, have you tried Pinnacle vodka from France? I recently did and was very impressed (by the price also).

I'm mostly a whiskey or beer drinker (darker brews only, please!). If I'm drinking a mixed drink, it's probably a rusty nail. MMMMM.

There are a few cocktails I prefer:

The first, is called Haemoglobin, which is a shot of vodka, a shot of strawberry liquor, pour over crushed ice (in a martini glass) and fill with cranberry juice.

The second, is kind of brutal. It's called a Dukes Nightmare, and contains two shots each of Jack Daniels and Tequila.

The third, is a Scarlet Martini; 1 1/2 shots of Southern Comfort, 1 1/2 shots of cranberry juice, in a cocktail glass over crushed ice with a slice of lime.

The last is a bit complicated, so it's only really for parties not bars or clubs. It's called a Golden Dream:

2 shots Galliano (the yellow/clear one)
1 shot creme de cacao.
1/2 shot triple sec.
3 shots orange juice.
3 shots light cream.

Blend with ice until creamy, serve in a hurricane glass.

Wonderful ...

What I'm craving right now, however?

Three shots of frangelico, on the rocks, with a nice big wedge of lime.
