Did U Ever See A Ghost?

Actually Ghost which are just Spirits DO exist ... There are seeral ways to get them out of your home, business etc .... usually; something like a "house cleansing" with burning sage, holy water, and prayer ... will do the trick ....
Most of the time they mean you no harm , though .

dude, i just had an experience like this last night, although i think ghost is an understatement; it was more of a demon. I just got down telling my friend about it, it was either a lucid dream and real one at that or i was stranded somewhere in between consciousness and a slumber. Either way it freaked me out and almost made this 19(soon to be 20) year old sleep with his grandma.

Aaronp,

I don't want to make light of what you witnessed, but sleep with your grandma? That made me laugh so hard no demon or ghost could have gotten near me.
I'm glad you are OK though, at least your still with us on JUB.

no seriously, i know i kinda chuckle to myself, but growing up catholic these ideas are just there. I have occasionally had lucid dreams, as i understand they are called, where the distinction between reality and dreaming is blurred. so in a sense, the dreams appear to be reality. and this event was out of hand, i was genuinely scared shitless.
the real test is, will it happen tonight? im kinda nervous about sleeping right now ahahahaha.

Well, first off, I am a Christian, but I do believe in a lot of this stuff. My best friend's sister-in-law is a Wiccan. I've had my aura photographed and believe in things like that, including Psychic Vampires and the sort. I believe in astral projection, vampirism, energies, aliens, and ghosts. The strongest ghost experiences I've ever had creeped the shit out of me.

An old friend of mine lives in an older house. They've told me a bunch of stories, and I didn't believe them until I spent the night at his house a few times. They say the ghost of a child lives in the house, and over the course of a week, they proved it to me. I spent the night at his house every night, and on the first night, his sister's music box started to play. It didn't stop for a while, and to prove they weren't winding it up every so-often, they gave it to me to keep near me while I was in the house. Every day it kept playing and playing, and never moved from the spot I kept it in. One night, you could hear feet going up and down the basement stairs and there was no one in the house except me, my friend, and his sister, who were in the living room. The second or third day there, I started paying attention to a painting on their living room wall, of a girl in a feild of flowers that was painted like you were looking out the window of a barn, and I shit you not, every day or two, her position changed. She was leaning on the window ledge one day, she was sitting with her flowers in the barn, she was looking out the window, and she was in the feild. The scariest thing happened when we were in the basement during the night getting something out of the fridge, and the shower turned on by itself. Finally, on the last night, we were in my friends room and everyone was at work/the bar/their boyfriend's house, and my friend's sister had her door closed, with those little beads hanging in the doorway. There were really quick footsteps and the beads jingled like someone had run their finger across them and we could hear a kid laughing. My friend threw the music box against the wall and smashed it, but it kept playing. At the end of the week, the box was still playing, and it didn't stop for a few days after I left (having come back every other day the next week.) Sorry I was long-winded about it, but this alone convinced me of the existence of ghosts.

what exactly happened?

as i explained in a pm the whole story is quite ironic.
Being raised as a catholic i have strong beliefs in such events. The past few months i have been questioning my faith in organized religion while maintaining my belief in a high power. That night a bunch of family was over to pray for the health of a recently cousin diagnosed with cancer. As stated my family is fairly religious. That night, as the prayer was being held, i actually prayed and held onto my faith. The family decided to bless me for strength with school and work and making ends meet.
The first time i have prayed in a long time.
That night, i as having a very vivid and realistic dream of being captured by a dark figure, these dreams were nothing new to me. I have them on occasion and they are some of the scariest moments. But what happened after is something i have never experienced before, i woke, or at least thought i woke up, to a dark ghostly like figure coming towards me and reaching out. It wasn't something comforting and the chill i experienced was undeniable. within the next seconds i really snapped back into reality, but it felt like i had just dazed off and never lost conscious.
and thats right about when i contemplated sleeping in another room or not.
god bless Tylenol pm, or else i would have never fell back asleep.

I've felt them, heard them, but haven't seen them. Unless that white thing at the corner of my eye was when a couple of years ago.

I own a house that is haunted by it's former owner. She died in the house and ws not found for 6 days. She is not a big problem, but she lets me know if she does not like what is going on, and if I make changes to her house. She does playful tricks like move things on me and hides them.

Although I bought the house 23 years ago, and met her then, I never saw here until last year, and I saw her twice.

Wow. Harry Potter, I'd like to speak/write to your wiccan friend. ask her to drop me a line at ericcage@yahoo.com

I too have had a few experiences that are questionable and unexplainable. The last time I had an apparation on my window pane but this was of Shiva, a Hindu God figure.

I never actually have seen a ghost however. Have had dreams that continue like a soap opera. Have had out-of-body experinces also. Man this is one hot topic!

Is that the movie where Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze make a clay vase while naked? I saw that ghost. Does that count for anything?

God does not play dice......I'm compelled to believe that "ghosts" or near visions are simply the by-product of parallel universes [quantum physics].
The way I understand it, there are multiple universes that coexist; & we are constantly interacting with many of these “hidden” universes. As such, we experience paranormal "bugs" like ghosts. [ or maybe Its my early days of 420 activity that allows me to think this sounds reasonable, lol].

I have seen and had experiences with Spirits ever since I was about five years old . That is one of the reasons that I drifted toward the Christian Spiritualist Faith and became involved in the Metaphysical side of life ... and was ordained into the church ...
If you've ever had your bed shake, feel a hand on your cheek as you attempt to sleep; BUT NO one was there, door open and close when it "WAS" locked, child crying when there are NO children in the home, or foot steps going up and down the stairs and/or across a room when you are the ONLY one home .... you will understand just a few of my experiences ...

I have never had any experiences with ghosts so I really do not know if they exist or not. I do question other peoples experiences. Some things I wonder are:

  1. At the time of the experience, were they under medication, drugs or alcohol?
  2. Could you have been dreaming?
  3. Did you have a fever at the time?
  4. Do you ever halucinate? Not joking, it is not that uncommon.
  5. Could the noise have come from outside, from the television, from a radio, etc.?
  6. Is the building a building that creeks, and settles? With so many moving parts and wood expanding and contracting, I think that all buildings make some noise.
  7. Was it dark? If you have prescription glasses/contact lenses, were you wearing them? Could you see clearly?
  8. Could it have been a refection of light, the wind, etc.
  9. Could someone have been playing a joke on you?
  10. Could there have been another explanation? Are you just saying that was a ghost because that is how you want to explain it to yourself.
Separating belief from facts is not easy, especially in a society that makes it so difficult to question beliefs. I'm saying this because it is so easy to believe in something that is not true. Every culture does it. Every human does it. Of course, we don't like to admit it.

I have looked and looked for some sort of support for an afterlife and all that I ever find is everythign goes back to beliefs. There may possibly be an afterlife and/or ghosts but I seriously doubt it. I think that we want to convince ourselves that it does exist, and one of the ways is to say that there are ghosts.

I would love to experience a real ghost. I just doubt that they really exist. If I see one, I will let you know.

I cannot speak for anyone else; BUT from my own experiences ... I was NOT on any medication , sometimes I would have my glasses on other times not; but they were so close I would not have needed glasses, I was NOT halucinating, I did NOT have a fever, was not from outside etc ... and NOT a joke .. It was and still is very real !!!

I've seen a ghost several different times. One particular incident was at my Aunt's house. I woke up early in the morning and fixed a pot of coffee. I sat down in the easy chair to relax and drink my coffee. I was reading the paper when, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a figure. I looked up and there was a dark, transparent figure standing by the front door. It was like a shadow, but it had form and depth. The figure drifted toward the door and vanished. I was surprised, but not scared. I felt rather tranquil during the entire incident. I related my story to my Aunt who confirmed that there was a ghost in the house.

When I dropped him off in the middle of absolutely nowhere, on the other side of the city so he could get another ride, we each got out of the car. I opened the trunk, he retrieved his backpack and I gave him an old parka I kept in the trunk for winter travel (it was very early spring and he was headed into the mountains). We said goodbye, I walked back to the driver's door, and he was gone. Vanished. Nowhere. Zippo. Nada anywhere.

A friend of mine told me a similar story. That him and his wife picked somebody up hitchiking and she (the hitcher) got in the back seat of the car. They drove on for a while, all of them talking, and my friend being the religious person he is, started talking about God and all that. The conversation went on for a while and then he told me that this woman in the back said, "Jesus is Lord," and then disappeared. It freaked them out so bad they pulled over, at first thinking making she'd jumped from a moving car. But the car doors were never opened and they were going too fast. She simply vanished. And he wasn't alone, his wife was with him and said the same exact things.

He thinks it was an angel.
