What? Me? Really?
No, I don't mean splinters or athlete's foot.
Some decades ago, my friend's mother was the supervisor for a handicapped employment agency, and one of her clients had no arms, so she was very adept in doing many things with her feet. To this very day, I think of her anytime I pick up something from the floor using my feet instead of my hands.
What impressed me the most about the woman was her willingness to work to earn income. She obviously qualified for disability assistance and probaly received various forms, but she didn't view it as some kind of get-out-of-jail-free card to avoid working.
It is in such strong contrast to the degenerated view today where so many handicapped parking spaces are used by liars and thieves who steal the privilege out of sloth. It's very rare to see anyone in a supermarket with actual mobility problems and by the very design, supermarkets are so large that one who is able to navigate them is already walking so much that the distance to the car isn't a factor.
Anyway, do you ever use your feet to pick up something?
