Not sure about dissecting but that conversation between River and Rory is just heartbreaking. "My past is his future". Can't wait for the next one!

and is it just me or is rory getting cuter every time i see him?

^ Cuter and much more self-aware. Love his reactions when he's asked to follow River down the hole, or when he's asked to explain the TARDIS to Canton. Hahaha.

Speaking of, does anyone find Canton Everett Delaware III (aka Mark Sheppard) attractive? I love the line:

"I won't be seeing you again, but you'll be seeing me."

I cannot wait for the next one!

the first few minutes of episode 2 were outrageously awesome!

i kid you not by the time the theme music started i was standing as i could no longer stay seated.

Absolutely agree, GL - the first few minutes and the closing scene with the little girl had me leaping out of my seat!

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Those things creeped. me. out. The Weeping Angels were nightmarish, but not *creepy*.

"Blink" is easily one of my favourite episodes of Doctor Who.

But yes, I agree, the Silence were scary as hell.

It was a beautiful episode - sad and funny and full of promise for the episodes to come.

"The pretty one?" was a great line.

Neil Gaiman is a legend.

And this marks the first time I've seen Suranne Jones (Idris) in anything. She's wonderful.

What do we think "the only water in the first is the river" means?

Might that be some sort of theme which will be carried forward through the next few weeks to the series finale when the Doctor's death in the first episode is somehow undone?
