You are very welcome!

Can't wait until May.

I understand that the United Kingdom will be represented by Blue. Hope they do better than Josh in 2010.

Host Germany will be presented by Lena again, they only have to pick a song.
I saw the first episode of "Unser Song für Deutschland" (=Our Song for Germany) yesterday. Some very good songs!

^ those are 6/12 possible songs. the other 6 will be published in a week. at the moment "taken by a stranger" (at ~2min) is my fav .. but I would guess it wouldn't be a good song for the contest because it is too "different".

you can see all the songs here:

oh and since the contest is basically around the corner, i'll be there, too :)

Oh an

^ if you come to düsseldorf, tell me :)

Ireland are almost certain to win this year as Jedward were born to do Eurovision, brash, camp, devoid of musicality and weirdly entertaining, describes the lads and the contest!

The Secret Is Love by Nadine Beiler is Austria's song for the 56th Eurovision Song Contest!

So far my favorites are Italy's and Poland's entry.

I wonder how many points Ireland will get though, cause right now hosting ESC is a white elephant.

I love Estonia's entry as well.. And some bookmakers say she has a good chance of winning...

My favorites this year:

1. Estonia
2. Israel
3. Romania
4. Slovenia
5. Poland

So how is everybody? The first semi-finale is tonight.

Meanwhile I can say that since last weekend Düsseldorf is full of people from basically everywhere around the globe. If you are in the center, hearing German has become a rare thing  And it really is a somewhat gay festival .. so many hot guys :luv:
There are eurovision parties and events all over the city of course. I have seen a car with some performer in it, but I still don't know who it was  A few dutch people came with a ship down the rhine (river) and our Lena performed on their ship later. The parties are full of TV crews - but also the performers show up. The hot guys from eldrine (Georgia) showed up, also the girl from Armenia (whose song everybody seems to be singing .. maybe the winning song?). Thursday we will seeing the other semi-final, my bf is at the "jury final" on Friday, and Saturday we will watch the final at a gay bar and go to the official gay esc party afterwards.

I have to say I wasn't really an ESC fan before, but the city is so full of life and interesting people .. it is contagious

we are against azerbaijan, but for estonia and for hungary.

secretly i love georgia ;)

^ they were in "quartier boheme" in düsseldorf later as well

the armenian song is silly .. yet better than the rest for now.

poland: boring
norway: what the heck
turkey: mediocre ..
