ok so i have been watching family guy for quite some time but i have a question

is brian the only one who can hear stewie

because when he talks to everyone else thye dont seem to hear they just make comments that involve nothing

so anyways what do u think

Yes.;) Brian is the only one who can UNDERSTAND Stewie....the others can hear Stewie, but to them its only baby talk.

I loved his "amateur gynecologist" T-shirt...although I wonder why he ever wore it...

But he has had some interesting things to say:
"Stewie: Cut my eggs.
Butler: [cuts eggs] Your eggs are cut sir.
Stewie: Cut my milk!
Butler: I can’t sir, it’s liquid.
Stewie: Imbecile! Freeze it, then cut it, and if you question me again I’ll put you on diaper detail and I promise I won’t make it easy for you."

Sorry for the usual digression...

Uh, I don't see what is so ironic about it.

It is just a TV show. It is supposed to be funny.
So, if it is funnier if the characters understand him, they do.
If it is funnier if the characters don't understand him, they don't.

Be here next week for the exciting conclusion!
Same JUB time.
Same JUB channel!

Unfortunately many of take everything too seriously and hope that even a little comedy show will have some sort of deeper meaning...and that goes for some pop music as well....most people are just trying to be entertaining, and everyone's trying to find the "law of nature" that drives everything that happens in these shows...

You take all the fun out of things. Let people have discussions about their fav show. Not your business if they want to talk about irony in a show.

I didn't say I didn't like it. That would be because I like the show.

I said it wasn't ironic; because it's not.

ok I can't figure out why people theorise about if people can hear what stewie says or not...... the kid made a time machine.. A TIME MACHINE... don't u think he'd be smart enough to talk? and he is just over a year old right.. which is about the age where babies normally start saying words.. he is just far smarter than most babies...

there are a lot of times where stewie talks to people and they talk back to him.... his family just ignores most of what he says because they don't take him seriously as an evil genius

Yeah, I think that they just don't really *hear* Stewie because they're all kind of wrapped up in their own worlds.

And true irony is a concept that most people find harder to grasp than a greased weasel.

I don't like to overthink my TV. It's the only area where I DON'T overthink everything like a weirdo, so I need my oasis of easy laughs and simple concepts.

Favorite Stewie quote ever? Easy. My choice: "Look at him. He runs like a Welshman. Doesn't he run like a Welshman? Doesn't he? I think he runs like a Welshman."

tee-hee!

Didn't they address that at the end of one episode..in the future after watching an episode of the show in class the teacher asks if the students have any questions, and this one dude asks...so can they understand the baby? So ..they even poke fun at the question on the show...and yea I think they hear him, understand him...it's just they don't pay much attention to what he says.

Red-headed lady,
reachin for an apple,
gonna take a bite,
uhh.. nope,
she gonna breathe on it first,
wipes it on her blouse!

She takes a bite,
chews it once,
twice,
three times,
four times,
stops.

Saliva workin!
takes a long hard look at Randy.
.....five times.
Fat ol husband walkin over.

Let's get the Hell outta here

I think that Brian is the only one that hears all the words, I get the feeling that the rest of the family must only hear the baby version.

I love that scene with Stewie dancing in the Leather Bar.

Favourite Stewie moments:

1. When Brian is breaking up with Lois and Stewie says, "Oh, you two probably want to be alone, then," and sits at the top of the stairs and eat Milk Duds and makes commentary:
Brian: I just don't think is going to work out.
Lois: You're breaking up with me?
Stewie (off camera): Oh, bitch. You got jacked, bitch.

2. His sexy parties.

3. "That time Peter disappeared into thin air."
