soooooooo i'm a huge horror movie fan and i'm also a huge fan of the final destination franchise! im super excited for final destination 5! surprisingly looks good actually haha hopefully better than the last one anyways im just wondering if anyone is as excited for this movie as much as i am!

i think the last one was the least successful of the franchise. i read in an interview that the fifth one is supposed to be darker and more suspenseful, unlike the fourth one that took sort of a comedic route to it. i really hope that its good

The fourth one was by far the most successful. It made an obscene amount of money compared to the other three (despite being by far the worst) and Warner Bros. couldn't resist making another one. The makers said that they learned from their mistakes with the last movie and have gone to great lengths to make the new one good. Judging by the clips and trailers, they've done that. The most common response from test audiences was that Final Destination 5 is the best in the series.

I'm surprised they didn't call it Final Destination, A New Beginning. Or Final Destination Resurrection. Or Final Destination 5 We Lied Last Time. Or Final Destination 5 Because Suckers with Money Never Die.
