Debbie Gibson "Out of the blue"
I loved this album when that came out. I think I have the musical taste of a 12 year old girl tho.
My straight guy friends would make fun of me when we would drive around I had would put this in the tape deck, but I told them I had a crush on her and thats why I wanted to listen to her. Am so glad to have come out and not have to lie like that anymore.

The first album I bought was Tina Turner's Private Dancer

I heard the long version of Private Dancer and I was hooked and been a fan ever since.

The first album I ever bought was The Beach Boys Pet Sounds. My dad borrowed a gift certificate of mine and used it to buy just one more CD. He had just got a compact disc player, this was when they were new an very expensive. He picked an album that is one of the greatest ever recorded.

tlc was so big in the 90s.i was so hooked to "waterfall".i didn't actually bought it right away but crazysexycool was the first album i ever bought some time after that.still have no regret buying it !!!

I don't remember the first album I ever bought with my own money (it would have been on cassette). But I do remember the first CD I ever bought (with my own money, not a gift) was Alanis' Jagged Little Pill

mine was the tragic kingdom album by no doubt. i remember many radio stations back in the 90s would play their music a lot and it was really infectious to me to the point that i had to buy the album

I'm sure I don't remember. It was almost 50 years ago. The first album I bought WAS an album - made of real, genuine vinyl.

I'm sure I enjoyed listening to it, though.

lol, i ended up buying that album like two years after it was released and coincidentally Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by smashing pumpkins was one of the few i bought afterwards.

My first record I ever owned was Olivia Newton-John "Totally Hot". I bought it when I was only five years old.

I first saw DH when I was wagging school at lunchtime in year seven. When I got home and turned on the TV for the videos, there was Blondie belting out Heart of Glass - and I was in love!

Now of course, I look at pictures of them all from that time and I see a bunch of drug abusing skinny people. But they were ahead of many - innovative and creative.

As another person posted, mine was an album, real vinyl. Cat Stevens- Tea for the Tillerman. I ended up with every album he put out.

I bought it because I was drawn to the cover. Still one of my favourite all time albums.
