FX: American Horror Story: Asylum [merged]

Isn't it obvious? You don't remember who got her out of there and brought her to his home? It's all in the episode.

But she ends her recounting of that happy story by saying, "But that's not what happened."

Well the way I see it she was just talking about the time when she was shutting down the asylum. That she was too late and did not rescue Jude.

She wouldn't lie about the other Jude story since it contradicts her original lie.

Thanks. Laufey. I'd rather have the nice ending anyway. Have I gone too far in the other direction to see Kit (a nickname for Christopher) as a Christ image--suffers unjustly, saves others, taken away to the heavens, etc,?

He's 51

He has aged a lot since the first season.

Back then he could pull off a 40 year old but now he's starting to look more his age.

So since my sisters are into this show, I want to get into it too since other sections *coughHotTopicscough* are boring as hell now. I want to know something: I'm a big pussy when it comes to scary shows/movies. The Walking Dead is different since it's only zombies. So, is this show scary? Should I watch it with my significant other?

It's not really a show which makes you jump. It's more of a just dark storyline.

Far from the scary level of most horror movies.

The scariest part is actually the intro with that creepy ass music  Kinda like the X-files were for me in the old days.

i started watching season 2 of AHS yesterday and i thought the first episodes ending would be more terrifying like the pilot's ending but i just sat there and was like: wow, that face has a lot of blood... but i like the beginning :) it's all still a bit weird but i guess i'll understand it more once i go further in the season. i'm glad that this show got another season with most of the actors returning and some even from season 1 :D

You should be fine.

American Horror Story is more cheesy/camp than scary. Like, sometimes I actually wonder if it's secretly parodying the horror genre. It's that messy. lol

But just in case, it's probably better that you watch it with someone else if you're really sensitive. S1 is more supernatural-themed with ghosts, hauntings and stuff. While S2 is mainly about torture/psychological horror.

I don't think that's true. Season 1 was actually scary in a weird kinda way, like you didn't know what the fuck was happening half the time. Season 2 was a lot less scary for me, and way crazier dealing with a bunch of subjects and storylines at the same time. But I wouldn't call it campy or messy, I just think it isn't scary in the traditional sense (loud noises out of nowhere) but in a creepy kinda way.

He has aged a lot since the first season.

He doesn't look older, they made him look different because it's a different character. Season 1 he was the good old family guy with secrets, season 2 he's a disturbed murderer! Of course he's gonna look older and messier.

About the finale,

It was great, it's amazing how Lana's character ended up being the central character of this whole craziness. I'm glad that at the end she became the hero she promised Kit she was going to be, I watched the last 2 episodes back to back (I suggest you do that too) so I got the chance to see and understand Lana's character a lot more. She kinda became drunk of fame and success and lost sight of her original goal but then she got back on track (fueled by ambition but still) and then when she was older she was able to be completely honest and to recognize that she isn't the hero everybody thought she was, she was more of an ambitious and smart woman.

The only thing I do think was pointless (and somebody else mentioned it) was the whole alien plot. The season is over and now it seems like it didn't serve any purpose, it felt like a plot to fill in time. But overall I was happy with the story (and so happy to see Kit in boxers, man he might not be the typical attractive guy but there's something so sexy about him...and that BUTT).
