FX's "DAMAGES"

Great show - although I am tired of being completely clueless at the end of every episode. I am alway saying "what the fuck is going on?"

Oh good, I thought I was the only one :help:

I will miss Peter facinelli, I assume he is dead, but with this show, ya just never know.
I thought it was cute when someone asked Peter, "Has anyone ever told you ya look like Tom Cruise" I'll bet Peter gets that alot, and he sure does, even talks like Tom. I wonder if that has kept Peter from getting more work?

OH

MY

(*U*)

I just watched episode 9, 10, and 11 back to back and now i am all caught up ready for the final two episodes.

The last episode with Ray , oh my gosh, i loved Ray, what the hell? I was literally frozen for almost 10 minutes, i could not move seriously, oh my gosh.

But even before that happened it was an incredible episode. Patty was a bitch to Ray but i think i still like her loads.

Oh my gosh that Lina girl is a real psycho, what the hell, that scene was hella creepy.

I felt so bad for Ray, Gregory totally led him on and Ray just wanted a little man love and he pushed him on the tree, what a heartbreaking scene.

To think i liked Gregory, forget that, he got what he deserved, and he is lucky it was quick too.

In case you missed it, Gregs letter read,

IN CASE ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME I MADE A VIDEOTAPE EXPLAINING EVERYTHING. I WANTED YOU TO KNOW THAT THERE IS STILL TIME TO DO THE RIGHT THING.

GREGORY

The back and forth time line is kinda driving me crazy but i think i am following whats going and loving every minute of it well, i wasnt ready for what happened to Ray tonight but, it just makes the show that much better.

Why on earth are the ratings for this show so low? The reported ratings were an audience of 1.16 million, and a 0.5/1 share. People have no idea what they are missing. My gosh. This is drama like nothing i have ever seen before.

Just give the show the damn Emmy right now for crying out loud,

i don't think greg led him on at all. he looked to ray like an older brother, father figure who was taking an interest in him when he had no direction in his life. he was so so eager to learn from ray. and he was disappointed when he thought he had let ray down. ray didn't really want to help him he just wanted to sleep with a hot young guy. i think greg's reaction was pretty tame for a straight guy who had some old guy force himself on him. i wasn't shocked about this revelation i expected it ever since ray freaked out when greg visited him when he was home with his wife.

Holy shit!!! What the hell is going on? It seems Patty had no clue that Ellen was arrested. I am curious whose blood that was on her shoe.

That was Ray's blood. I agree that Gregory didn't lead him on, either. I was in a similar situation some time back, and didn't really have a clue as to what the guy was after. I LOVE the way Ellen's been developing a backbone through the last couple of episodes! Amazing show!

it was weird though when ellen left george's body in the car when she found him shot

Ray had a little chemistry with Art too. When Ray was tying his tie that scene was so hot and it seemed to last forever, apart of me wanted something to happen but regardless it was a hot scene.

Anyways, about Greg?

Ahh come, gimme a break, are we watching the same show?

Gregory is/was a total seductress. Even before episode 11 revealed how they met, there was an episode back when Ray and Gregory were in a motel room or some low end apartment where Gregory was hiding out and there was so much sexual tension in the room you could cut it with a knife and what really told the story was when Ray was about to leave and Gregory said, i dont remember exactly but he said something like, " do you really have to go" and then he asked Ray for some money for the vending machine.

Ill go and rewatch that eppy so i can give a more accurate account, but lots forget that one because Gregory is a con artist. He knew Ray liked him and he played along to get what he wanted. And its because he did that why he got turned into road kill.

Ray was so sweet, he didnt deserve what Gregory did to him. Gregory should have been upfront from that night in the diner.

When Gregory is with Ray he gays up himself, but when Gregory is with Katie he mans up, so he knew what he was doing when he came on to Ray talking about its closing time. Go back and look at how Gregory positioned himself at Rays table and the way he looks at Ray throughout the evening by the bar.

And when Ray asked him why bother to come to New York, Gregory said, "I'll try anything once" what a tease.

And Greg told him upfront that he didnt have any money and was barely surviving.

Gregory knew exactly what he was doing and got what he deserved. You do not go around playing/toying with peoples emotions.

And lets give Greg the benefit of the doubt for a second, if he wasnt bisexual he should have told Ray that upfront because it was obvious to me that Ray liked Gregory so it should have been obvious to Gregory.

So a man you just meet, gives you thousands dollars worth of stock and puts you up in a fancy place in Miami just because he is a good friend? Gimme a break.

A man doesn't do that for another man especially one he recently met without some reason. Greg should have questioned Ray upfront and asked him why he was doing this and set the record straight that he was straight. But no Greg went along with it and the on little kiss Ray wanted, the tiny ounce of affection Greg shoves him into a tree.

Bye Ray :( :)

You're recounting the scenes correctly, but not the order in which they happened. Go back and rewatch. The demonstrative stuff between Gregory and Ray happened long after the 'rejection' scene. Their history was different by then, and they each knew where the other was coming from.
I was a bartender in Miami, and I received a LOT of money/gifts from guys who just happened to be generous. Seriously. Personally I waited until I met someone both rich and upfront about what was going on.;)

i cant believe u r defending ray's sick obsession with greg. "up front and honest"? that fool is living a total lie. he's married to a woman. and he mentioned his wife all the time. if someone is married no matter how "gay" they act ill just assume they are straight. he's like any old rich queen trying to buy a poor young studs affection. and why should greg announce his sexuality he doesn't have to do that. ray is a married man, he needs to keep it in his pants. and about that kiss. greg asked him to stop first. when ray kept going for it he had to push him off. what was he supposed to do?

Best show on TV period :D

Since Damages has been renewed for a second season.. lets hope it airs in HD ..|

Thank you FX for another great series... Murdoch thanks for giving the greenlight for a channel like this.

Since Damages has been renewed for a second season

Are you fricking serious?

(!)

This is great man i was worried because the ratings are pretty low but then again i shouldnt be surprized because it is one of the best shows EVER, not just of this season but ever. So i would love it to find a bigger audience but regardless i am just so happy.

The last time a show did this to me was Heroes season one but Damages rates higher IMO, but i watch both :)

Happy that they are coming back with second season...but they better wrap up this shit with Ellen this season. If they try to continue it onto the 2nd season, I will be pissed.

^ I agree. I've enjoyed it, but the story line is getting thin. It's gone on for so long and you now know it's not going to be resolved until the season finale, if then, so you kinda don't care that much.

Yea i want season 2 to be something new and it should be because Damages was on shaky ground so id like to believe the writers will wrap things up with the last 2 episodes and then have a new case for next season.

I mean as good and riveting as this season is i dont think id want to see it drag out for another 13 episodes.

Yeah I don't know if I will watch the second season if they try to continue this Ellen/Frobisher storyline. It is almost becoming like Lost. Keep coming up with more and more stories. Time for something new!

Wow i just saw, "There is no we anymore" and

"Ellen Parsons is out on bail, you know where to find her" talk about a shocker. They were serious when they said TRUST NO ONE. And i liked him you know, who would have thought he was in on it but in on what?

What the hell is really going?

Anyways before that ultra twist at the end, i dont know what to say, this is the ultimate TV drama. I loved how everything is starting to come together. The back and forth time lines was a bit of a pain but it gelled well in this episode. And i love that Patty is indeed "good."

When did Ellen go to the apartment for the tape. I saw she got the message but didnt see when she could have gotten it.

Whose grave is Patty visiting?

I dont think it will be wrapped up in the season finale and before tonight i said i didnt want it to drag into next season, but the writing, directing and acting, and twists and turns are so damn good that at this point i dont care if this carries over as long as the writing is edge of your seat.

I cant remember the last time i watched a season of a show were every single episode is stellar, no filler.

Cant wait for next week (!)

Bad ending to a good build up.... they should of got rid of the whole Patty Hewes' story after this season, but they didn't so now it's just another cyclical drama with never ending plot twists that they'll make up. I would of much rather had completely new characters and drama associated with them. Sigh, but not of relief.

i thought it was an awesome ending. patty is too good a character to get rid of. but i love ellen more. she's so smart. she's better than patty and still so young. i think death was too good for a scumbag like frobisher. at first i couldnt figure out why patty wanted ellen dead. then i realized because she felt ellen could implicate her in blackmailing ray fisk. it shows you how fucked up the american legal system is and rich people can get away with almost anything.

I thought the finale was ok, but not really. The double crosses were ok, but there was little new to the main plot line. I expected more of a twist than just the incriminating tape stuff. Not sure I'll look out for the show next season.

I want a second season, Patti may have meet her match with Ellen,
like James Brown sang in the last scene:

hey! Gotta gotta pay back, Revenge, I'm mad
Need some get back Pay Back!
I'm mad

There is still a lot of story to tell, and are we so sure Frobisher is dead??
The bullet wound looked like it hit him in the side.
