FX's "DAMAGES"

We are half way through the season here and I am loving this show! Glenn and Rose are just divine, they are sooo good.
 
It was ok i liked some of it but not all of it.


Why did they have to do that to Patty. The dog was bad enough but actual murder of a human being. How on earth can you redeem that?

I am not interested in the season 2 set up.


Ellen is a bitch for working with the FBI regardless of whatever.

Patty should hire someone competent to take Ellen out. Where was that man trained to have Ellen get th better of him...

Well actually, no because it was Ellen that gave Patty the information used to blackmail Ray and Ellen was the one that sugested Patty blackmail him so its still unclear why Patty did what she did.

Well actually, no because it was Ellen that gave Patty the information used to blackmail Ray and Ellen was the one that sugested Patty blackmail him so its still unclear why Patty did what she did.

no ellen NEVER suggested patty should blackmail anyone. she didn't know what she was getting from george. she thought patty would use that info to build a stronger case because at that point they had nothing. i can't believe u r defending patty. patty was manipulating ellen from the beginning, tried to ruin her relationship, and tried to have her killed. she has every right to take patty down.
 
Thats not how i remember it. I specifically remember the handover and Ellen sugesting to Patty what to do with the information and it was that same scene that Patty offfered Ellen the job back. The next scene we see Patty in the dog park with Ray.

Infact i am going to rewatch the scene and report back to this thread confirming what i already know happened. LOL as a matter of fact why do you think Ellen asked Patty, "Do you regret what we did?" because Ray had died and they were both responsible. The day Patty fired Ellen before Ellen left she gave a folder to the secretary. Patty later called Ellen and met with her and aksed her what she was supposed to do with this.



How can i defend Patty?


Simple. Patty did what she did for the greater good. Ellen is only one person and Patty was fighting for over 20 people in that case so if she felt someone had to be taken care of so be it.

And i still think there might be a twist and that Patty never really set it up but even if she did i totally understand.

you have a few things wrong. when ellen got fired that folder just had info on the woman who george moore fired for actually doing her job. it wasn't until after she kept talking to george moore he agreed to giver her something else. she didn't even know it would be pictures of ray fisk.

and how is killing ellen the greater good? she's just protecting her own ass. ellen never ever suggested blackmailing ray fisk. ellen asked if they regretted it because she knew she shared the blame because she got the pictures that were used to blackmail ray.

ellen cared about those people too. she was helping with the case even though she was fired and didnt have too. even though this case got her fiance killed, she celebrated with the victims. she's a good person who was manipulated by patty and that little weasel tom.

and last but not least patty had katie's dog killed to katie in on the case. what a monster

The Emmy Top 10 list was posted on Friday and Damages is up for Best Drama Series and Best Actress - Glen Close.


Duh and not only that i tell you right now its gonna win and she is gonna win.


Other than the finale it was perfection. Absolute gem of a series.


Sally Feild is an Emmy fave but she won last year and though she had some good scenes this season on B&S Glen did something on another level.


I am so excited.
 
haha didnt i tell you it was get nominated.

Duh it was the best thing on TV not just last season but in years.

Dont know and dont really care. I think its a mistake to have another season. They gonna mess it up.

It was such a gem of a series it should have just been a one season project.
 
i am so nervous about tonight, Glen Close just has to win Best Actress she just has to.

Sally Field is a wondeful actress but she won last year and her tape submission this year was weak though similar to the one she used last year.


Glen deserves this and not just because she was robbed in 2005.


Zeljko Ivanek should win too but someone pointed out the fact that as a stand alone episode it will lose the power of his performance.


We the viewers have watched him reach that point but the voter hasnt but i still feel he could get it.


I want Series Actress and Supporting actor but if i could only get one i want Geln Close to win.
 
^Agreed. Glenn Close is great as Patty. One of my favorites shows. I still have no clue when the new season starts. I hate that FX has this weird schedule where shows just come back at the most random times. The other ladies in Best Actress didnt come close. I thought Kyra would win it again. I think the Closer is so boring.

Oh. My. God. I just finished the whole first season a few minutes ago. I cannot WAIT for Season Two.

Though I must say, I did see the twist coming at the end of the first episode.
