LOL... the only one getting any fucking in those movies is C3P0, he's gotta be doing something with R2 walking around like that.

You know, I can try to dismiss the visual of C3PO and R2 going at it, but what remains in horror is the sounds - all that clanking and squeaking of metal banging against metal. *shudders* So horrific. I do hope they have a bunch of WD-40 handy.

In all seriousness, I thought the most notable lack of chemistry in the "Star Wars" universe was between Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman. Disappointing. I like each of them individually, but their on-screen interactions went nowhere. Poor sexually frustrated Anakin. It's widely reported Lucas didn't help his actors much by surrounding them in blue screen canvases with nothing to react against or immerse themselves in, though, so the cardboard performances are sometimes blamed on that. Of course, Princess Leia's bikini-clad self in front of Jabba sure caused some early visceral stirrings in at least a few generations of boys/teens, but that's probably about as sexy as it gets on-screen in the franchise, no?

It's not about being a perfectionist, it's a cash grab. That's why the only thing he ever does is involved with either Star Wars or Indiana Jones, but he's managed to fuck up Indiana Jones with that horrid sequel. He doesn't have to do anything else ever and he will make bank for it.

It's a classic case of getting a big head.

Mutt Williams is waaay underrated, I think, but that's another post...

If only it were just about having a "big head." I think it's more likely he's just classically fat, he's a cat, and he's just plain nuts. (The man has some really straaange ideas about life, it seems.)

I will say this on a related note. Frank Oz badmouthed the new muppet movie and saw it strayed away from Jim Henson yet he is still working with George Lucas who is destroying his own creation?

I love the Star Wars films (at least the first three of them) but it is getting to me - sure he has extras on these Blurays - but not all of the extras that have been on other DVD's so once again we are expected to buy another version but still have to keep the old one.

Lucas made an amazing part of film history but I wish he would work on something new to keep him busy so he would stop spending all his time thinking about what he can change in a trilogy that is already great...
