ok, so I am sure there is a thread somewhere already but I can't be bothered to go searching lol

I don't usually play computer games (except for the free online puzzle things from msn) but find myself with a lot of free time now.

Anyone else play any of the Guild Wars games?!

I fucking love Guild Wars and have all 4 campaigns. I've recently gotten back into it, and have to watch myself, because I could easily waste a lot of time playing it.

I found a copy of guild wars factions in a charity shop

the only reason i dontplay WOW is because of the cost but this is perfect!

I am gonna find my feet with this one (cos i mostly suck hehe) and will probably buy the others.

i also need to be careful, i tend to get very involved and not realise how late its getting hehe

Good luck with that one. I find Factions to be one of the hardest campaign.

I am not doing too badly, I don't have a mouse and its difficult to control the characters properly using the touchpad

I quit Guild Wars as fast as I could. It is so good, it becomes dangerously addicting!

Actually, once you get used to the touch pad, its far easier than the mouse. I only use the mouse for activating skills and picking up items/talking to people.

What profession did you choose?

my touchpad is super sensative, i think until i get better i need a mouse hehe

I am an elementalist

Elementalist is a decent choice, especially if you focus on being a pyromancer.

When you get more comfortable, and you decide to get more campaigns you should try the mesmer. They can be quite versatile, especially paired with an elementalist or necromancer as their second profession.

I have an elementalist, a necromancer, a ritualist and an assasin

so far I seem to make a much better assasin than anything else lol

LOL! I like the asassin too, which is the character I have in factions. The reason I like the mesmer is because of their primary attribute, Fast Casting. it allows even the slowest of spells to be cast quickly and effectively.
