What is it about a simple baseball cap that can make a hot guy so much hotter? The number of guys who have added to this thread suggests that it's a very common turn-on.
It's surely not the cap itself but our culture's identification of it with the sport and of the sport with the athletic bodies of the players. We're turned on by fit, toned young men, and I think we subconsciously read the cap as an indicator of virility and strength. It's difficult to imagine, but if I'm correct we'd be getting the same sexual signal from almost any other style of hat worn by baseball players if it was what they had always worn. The same principle would explain why a lot of people are turned on by football helmets or other sportswear.
How different would this thread look if, instead of the baseball cap we know, the sport had evolved with the players wearing propeller beanies, dunce caps or mitres (that skyscraper on the pope's head)?
