Here's more on Comodoro Rivadavia which we are passing to our left.

Comodoro Rivadavia is a city in the Patagonian province of Chubut in southern Argentina, located on the Gulf of San Jorge, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, at the foot of the Cerro Chenque mountain. It is often referred to simply as Comodoro. It has a population of 137,061 as of the 2001 census.

Petroleum is their major industry and the city itself was founded in 1901. So its not very old for such a large city.

Yes, its 8 C (46 F) there right now. Nice of them to bundle up and come out to wave to us. Gee, when we get to Buenos Aires the captain had better be back to turn on the microwave. Otherwise there will no no laying out at the beach.

I'm happy to see the gun turrets got hidden when we came into that Rivadavia harbor -- wouldn't want to put people off before they get on (and get off?).

I thought I'd just been wandering in the dunes, but that new cabin boy -- first in line in Cocky's lineup -- tells me he's been gently scratching some sort of rash on me while I've tossed and turned and moaned for a couple of days.

... either I got bit by a spider, or molested by penguins....
