Why would I try to look at it that way? I know personally and first hand that not all Christians and Catholics believe every part of the bible to be true or right.

If you can't accept that, then like I said, you're just being ignorant. Willful ignorance.
 
I think what puzzles me is that the OP thinks that any of us give a shit about his clogged drains, the calls from his sister or his position on going to Church...particularly on Christmas Day....

Then they're not really christians, are they? Isn't the point of the religion is the bible is the true word of god? You take away the bible and there goes the whole belief system.

Of course there are those that think the bible is more like a buffet where you can pick and choose which part to follow and which part to ignore. In which case, why not just write their own bible?

Apparently, only self-proclaimed 'Christians' are allowed that luxury, and the rest of us are obliged to figure out which parts/rules are most precious to each one of them - individually. :)
 
Your position seems to be that all Christians hate gays, because you can only call yourself a christian if you believe everything in the bible.

If you can't take a moment to look at the world around you and see that this is incorrect, then there is no reasoning with you.

Anyway, I don't think Christ teachings are any good.
The main point i got from his teaching was "fellow me and take no thought for tomorrow"

My position about "true" Christians and "true" Muslims are they must follow their books 100%.
If they don't fellow their books 100% they are not "true" Christians or Muslims and they give cover to the extremists to hide ....

This is just setting up a straw man so you can beat them down with some crap they don't believe/don't want to believe in. You don't get to decide how much someone else is a true Christian or Muslims.

A true Christian or Muslim MUST believe the book 100%.
If you only believe 50% in the book, you are ONLY 50% Christian or Muslim. Common sense !!!
