90-Min.....(...|..|..|...Good..).

I saw this Flick late last night and it was better than I expected....The Director went all out in making the Witches Ugly as Sin and Warrior like Fighters. Hansel & Gretel (Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton) get their Asses kicked during every battle scene..There's Blood galore with exploding heads, Body parts being torn a part, people getting smashed to bits and all of it makes this B-Flick a winner in my book...

There is an Ass-shot but sorry Fellas it's not Jeremy's booty....This is the 3rd film I've seen Jeremy in over the last 2yrs and the more I see him the more Handsome he becomes...I always thought his "looks" were just average @ best but now that I'm seeing him over & over & over I really like his Face...

Jean Grey from X-Men is the Lead Witch in this Flick...She has become the B-Flick QUEEN...LOL..At least she's getting work though...

All you Sci-Fi-Action Lovers should go see H&G...It's worth the ticket...The Flick is Fused with the Once upon a time fairy tale theme with a whole lot of Fowl Cussing & Killing....

I didn't expect that I would actually love it. A lot of movies havent been good lately and I was weary. About 20 minutes in, I was like "This is actually pretty good.

Side Note: That woman had a cute butt and I was waiting to get a look at Jeremy's. No Dice! That was a let down. Either show both or none at all :)

I really enjoyed Gemma Arterton. I think that she is just beautiful and I loved how badass she was.
Everyone was badass, really. Jeremy was great, as usual. I didn't expect it to be as funny as it was. I suppose that a movie about witch hunting couldn't be entirely serious.

Im rambling, but its just because I really enjoyed it. I would also encourage others to see it as well.

P.S. Jeremy is having a baby ????

If H&G does well at the Box Office I hope the Studios green-light part 2.

Miss Anne I was trying HARD to place the Beautiful Gemma Arterton (Gretel) face...I knew she looked and sound familiar but I couldnt remember which Flick(s) I've seen her in...Then I looked her up and she was the Princess in The Prince of Persia with the Good-looking Jake whats-his-face..

Not to give away any spoilers...What I thought was interesting is that the Giant Troll didnt do more during the Final battle scene...

This movie was actually pretty good. Def would recommend it to people.

To tell you the truth, I didn't recognize her at all. I just thought "Who is that, She's beautiful" :)

I too went home and goggled her and Ive seen The Prince of Persia !. I don't know why I didn't recognize her.

That's a good point about the Troll Edward. He did seem like a gentle soul that could kick some ass. Maybe he was a bit conflicted. He was supposed to help witches, but which one ? Idk

It does look like they set it up to make a sequel. Fingers Crossed.

I was not planning to see this movie. Based on your favorable reviews, I'll go see it tonight. You guys have better be right...or y'all will have to suck me.

Oh and Gemma was in the Lost in Austen miniseries. I saw that too! and still didn't recognize her. #-o

Really good miniseries though.

I really hope that you like it. I think that you will.

I'm really tired of these kinds of movies. Why can't we have legitimately dark, gory, surreal fairy tale horror movies? I almost said "anymore," but then I remembered how much Snow White: A Tale of Terror (1997) let me down. If I never again see another hip, gun-toting, one-liner spewing "badass" couple (him looking no different than the guys in Van Helsing and her looking no different than Beckinsale in Underworld), I'll die a little bit happier. This garbage not only makes me frown but its general success means we will never get any films that are different. And there was only ever one decent movie of this type anyway: Sleepy Hollow (1999).
