Have you ever come across a Toynbee Tile?

The Toynbee tiles (also called Toynbee plaques) are messages of unknown origin found embedded in asphalt of streets in about two dozen major cities in the United States and four South American cities.

No one really knows who has been doing it. I listened to an interesting podcast about them and there is a documentary about them too

They say it’s mostly just one guy but there are copycats that make ones that aren’t of the Toynbee agenda
