After last night's episode, I can say with certainty most people will be completely pissed if Dany doesn't take the throne by the end of the series.

I'm not going to deny that she got overwhelmed. It was a little too much, too soon. In my opinion, she should have stayed there until she had gained some kind of experience in running a kingdom effectively. But I stick by my previous statement, taking Astapor was a baller move, and she is the only one who belongs on the Iron Throne. I just hope Martin doesn't feel the need to give her the Ned Stark treatment before then.
By the by, does anyone have any ideas concerning the prophecy of theI had a wee epiphany a few nights ago at work, and I think I may be on to something.dragon having three heads?
If you read the books, you know this culminates at the end of A Dance With Dragons when she realizes that she laid waste to these cities and they again have fallen back into turmoil and she completely fucked up. Mind you in the books, she is still a teen; around 18 by the end of book 5.
- Of all the story arcs, Bran's is by far the worst and will continue to disappoint until we touch the material near the end of book 4.I fucking hate how GRRM will tease all these "close encounters" with Arya and Rob and Bran and Jon Snow.
- They're totally playing up the pregnancy of Talisa to make RW far more painful.
- Corny, you can tell that the "leech scene" is eminent with the brief Gendry appearance this week and Meli knows this too.
- For non-book readers, the "torture porn" of Theon is much easier to grasp in literature than it is on screen. At least in the books, you can break down his psyche in long narrative where as on screen, you see his "favorite bits" being chopped.
Just to let you know that Bear was real.yesterday, i wached the latest 3 episodes back-to-back, they had been sitting on my drive unwatched. ah, so good.
spoilers for those who dont read!
after getting a problematic story in season 1 and a boring one in season 2, danaerys' character is really taking off. i love her story in book 3, and the adaprtion does not disappoint. and emilia clarke aces every scene shes in, its a real delight to watch.
and holy shitsnacks, they got one seriously hot actor in the role of grey worm! i dont know what i was expecting, but when that helmet came off, i was saluting him. if i were the type that writes slash-fiction, id be writing something ridiculous with grey worm, grenn, and gendry just about now!
also, coster-waldau butt! it did not disappoint. also also, sexy gay evil squire prostitute spy! part of me wants a spin-off about only him. and part of me is hoping that we never see him again, because he doesnt exist in the books (right?), and we know how that went with ros, both in terms of how pointless her stories were, and how terribel her ultimate faith was.
jon and sam are still putting me to sleep, but ygritte is awesome. rose leslie is a beautiful woman, but i find it even more amazing what she does with her voice alone. that rasp is sooo sexy! oona chaplin (playing talisa stark) is also doing a good job on that front.
tyrion is getting a little washed out, but now we have lady olenia walking around the keep, throwing shade left and right. that bitch is fabulous, and margaery is wonderful, too. i really love the tyrells.
meera and jojen reed are so well cast. brienne is awesome, too.
not much happening on stannis' and davos' front, but shereens song somehow almost broke my heart.
i actually rewound to hear arya scream "go to hell!" again. she is so cool, and the actress is really talented.
i love how melissandre got so jealous when she realized thoros could raise the dead. delicious!
the one thing about the show that really doesnt work is theons storyline. the writers obviously struggle to find something, anything, for him to do. and what they ended up with is both boring and extremely unpleasant.
the SFX has gotten really good, though. i didnt love the dragons and wolves in season 2 but these last few episodes, they looked awesome. and that bear!
