HBO's Game of Thrones. ( No Book Spoilers Allowed -- Go to Hell.)

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

i assume the bear was real, but him and the actors were probably shot separately and then cut together? which is why i said SFX and not CGI.

they havent dropped any hints about theons captors, other than the one glariously obvious one. i think this show cant afford to be too obscure, since the narrative is already very complex to begin with.

Yeah, I don't know why they're are keeping his identity such a secret, I hope they reveal it by the finale.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

spoiler for those who dont read!

well, at this point in the story, the audience is supposed to think that roose bolton is loyal to robb, so having his son hold theon (and, if i remember correctly, winterfell) without even telling him about it would be confusing at best, spoilery at worst.

I don't know they had subtle hints of Bolton's disloyalty when he let Jamie return to Kings Landing, but kept Brienne in order to make Robb think that he was still loyal, as she caught the person who took Jamie.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

I'll keep this short for a synopsis of last week's episode.

I love how the feminists QQ over so much titty flashing and no peen. They had the perfect opportunity to use it too. Fuck, they could have used a stunt cock for it.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

It's all happening.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

*Sigh* Well, it finally happened. You know, I was almost dreading to watch this episode; but, I needed to see how everything played out on-camera. To be honest, it was fantastic. Even the little changes that they made just added to the drama of the final scenes.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

It's always sad when a redhead dies.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

My life is over.. I just watched it, I knew what was gonna happen but I just.. I just can't.. Cat was my favorite..

I know she's gonna rise as Lady Stoneheart

but still.. :(

also that Talissa baby killing scene was too much.. it was just way too brutal.. Did you notice if the hound and arya actually went in, Cat MIGHT have lived D: life is cruel.. but then again that probably would've gotten the hound AND arya killed.. I didn't expect it to be so sad but I was already covered in goosebumps whenever someone would so much as look at Cat during the wedding..

WAIT WHAT IF THE SEASON ENDS LIKE AT THE MOMENT
CAT RISES AS LADY STONEHEART???

that would be the worst/best/worst/best ending ever.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Video contains spoilers. (And squealing girls.)

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

I don't know what I spoiled up above, I think...? lol

Next week will end on a better note, and the Stark-fans will rejoice.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

^^I spent about 3 hours looking through those reaction vids (it's my day off--whatever, shut up). All I can say is, bring on Stoneheart!!!

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

^
Yes, George, bring on Stoneheart.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

LOL @ watching my roomates (who havent read the books) run around like headless chickens!

the red wedding was really well done, i have to say. really brutal.

however, there was a lot going on in that episode outside the wedding. jorahs face falling as he realises that danny has a thing for dario. jon simply ditching ygritte, and her face as he rides off. those were some really emotionally brutal moments as well. and who knew, the kid playing rikon is a decent enough actor.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

I have to say that my hat is off to everyone not spoiling the surprise of the Red Wedding. With a penultimate episode so powerful...it would have been so easy for all those who had read the books or were inside the entertainment industry to spoil the episode.

Probably one of the most powerful sequences ever made for a television series.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Just wondering about Catelyn Stark...
Are they using Fairley again? Headey commented that she thought her performance was great and she was one of her favourite actresses to see perform, but on a personal level she was sad to see a friend leave the show. Just wondering if that means they're recasting Lady Stoneheart, or maybe Headey hasn't read the books and doesn't know about Catelyn's resurrection.

Re: A song of ice and fire: HBO's Game of Thrones

Ah man, I love that there's a GoT thread here! As I said in another thread, the Red Wedding was really harrowing to see, even though I knew from the books what was coming. Michelle Fairley, my hat is off to you.

and who knew, the kid playing rikon is a decent enough actor.

I was shocked by that! The kid out-acted Bran.

RE: Your spoiler...

I reckon the cast have maybe been asked to act like Fairley's gone from the show, so it's more of a surprise when Lady Stoneheart appears. I don't think they could get away recasting her, to be honest!

I might be able to survive the year if that is how they end it, that might beat out the 1st season finale end moment....
