Heaven

Presuming God exists, is all loving and forgives all sins, then we will all finally end up in Heaven one day. Even us sinners will get remission from Hell and repenting should give us early parole.

What worries me is that it will be for eternity.

What on earth do you do for eternity that would not finally become absolutely boring or frustrating? Imagine, even your favorite past-times in this material world would become a torture if repeated continuously.

I used to think like this too. It's hard for me to grasp the concept of forever, or "no end" I think our lifes will be much different and we will have much more to do up there. And maybe, time is a lot different and dosn't flow like it does here on earth.

Sheesh! We could argue this whole "is there a God or isn't there" thing forever! And no, I don't have the answers. What I *do* know is that I'd rather live my life believing in God and an eternal life with Him in heaven - only to find out there is no such thing - than to live life without believing in Him and finding out He *does* exist and that Heaven is everything and all that!

It's called Faith (not fact) for a reason...

Well, there are two possibilities: or you go to heaven, or you burn in hell.
Don't fret, heaven is for people who like things going on in heaven, like singing for God, watering pot-plants, discussing cauliflower growth... While hell, on the other hand, is for people favouring other things. Which are best not mentioned.

I imagine heaven as a really boring church sermon, and nothing but singing the praises of God.



And I imagine hell as being like a booming gay club; with a garden, of course.

My view:

"Eternity" isn't an endless period of time, it is freedom from time. It is the eternal NOW. Time doesn't exist except from our perspective inside a physical existence. Humans can't even comprehend living without time because we are so focused on the physical.

We also can't imagine being without having a physical PLACE to be (complete with a body, possessions, and activities). That's why "Heaven" and "Hell" were made up. The spiritual realm doesn't obey physical laws, so it's absurd to try to apply them there.

Anyway, don't worry about boring in heaven. If there is one, you won't get bored.
