I'm friends with tonnes of slasher film fans from all around the world on Facebook, and I'm such a nerd on the subject myself.
Any of you folks fans of the genre? For some reason gay guys seem to love 'em

Love horror, hate slashers.

Or rather, I enjoy the occasional slasher but only as a guilty pleasure. My true love where horror is concerned, is the psychological supernatural stuff like The Ring or Silent Hill :)

im not really into most of the modern day slasher films but i love horror films and all the horror movies from the early 90s and beyond.

love even the cheesy ones....its fun to check out hot up and coming actors trying to get into the biz

i gotta admit that i really love those horribly cheesy ones that they usually end up showing on the syfy channel. theyre so retarded they're fun.

I would say I'm more into suspenseful horror movies. Something like this -

Or psychological thrillers with a bit of horror thrown in.... like this:

I'm hosting a movie night tomorrow with friends, beer and pizzas. The choices are:

Demons
Shark Night
Hatchet
Phenomena

I'll let my guests vote. :)

A long, long time ago, before they became a cliche of themselves, I liked slashers.

I feel like I was born and bred of Slashers. I love the horror genre in general, but yep, slasher are my pride and join. The good, the bad, the cheesy, and all in between.

Slashers are my all-time favorite genre. Ever since I first saw Scream when I was about 8. Which was 2 years after it came out. And Scream is still my favorite movie. But slashers have been lacking lately with nothing innovative. Maybe one day we will get one that is not so cliche of typical slashers and something more innovative since the slasher genre is slowly disappearing.

And to the above poster, I vote Hatchet. It's a pretty good movie.

i watched exam with my friends and it was so awesome, we didnt expect it to be that good, it sucks that there hasnt been any good horror movies out lately, you can kind of consider cabin in the woods, but it did tend to go on the more campier side, which isnt everyones favorite.

recently i bought the movie mothers day with rebecca de mournay, i have to say it was definitely one of the better movies ive seen, she killed it.

also i really liked hatchet as well, how was the second one? i saw they made a sequel

I've been a horror fan since i was little. Card carrying member of the monster squad. Most American horror films started to suck after Eli Roth poisened the well. I loved the Feast series, and Piranah 3DD, but the best slashers are coming out of France (Inside, High Tension, Martyrs, Frontier(s)...), but I'm a huge fan of the Argento classics, the cheesy 80's slashers, basically any film that relies more on practical FX than CGI is something that will pique my interest. By the way... Hatchet 3 is coming out soon. A friend of mine just wrapped. I'm sure you'll notice her from other horror films (Feast trilogy, The Signal, The Collector)
