Theres five I am fucking mad for, they dont know apart from one, I think. Oh well it will never happen with any of them anyway so got to get over it unfourtunatly.:(

Well, maybe there is no "point". The flaw, for me, in your take on cyber-crushes is that you've come at it from a very rational point of view and crushes arn't rational. Just like love, I guess. We don't choose who we have a crush on, it just happens.

Having said that, I'm free from JUB crushes. I've had some great chats via PM with some clearly awesome guys but no crush ever developed. I did think AJ was pretty awesome when I met him but I haven't seen him on here in aaaages.

I have several JUB crushes. My "crushes" aren't of the "pining away" variety, simply because I know the chances of ever getting to meet most of these great guys on here are somewhat slim. When I'm on and I see their posts, it just brightens my day more.

Perhaps it's a defeatist attitude to assume I won't get to meet most of them; after all, I did meet some terrific men at the STL JUB meet, and there was some crushing there. But I know myself--my crushes on here typically end up with me not knowing how to open up enough to develop them into friendships, much less anything beyond friendship. I'm too protective of my heart, and I can't imagine giving too much of it away to someone I won't be able to be with. Years of being on the internet and talking with great guys who nothing ever develops with has left me wary, to the detriment of my ability to put myself out there in this kind of forum, no matter how much I might want to.

And trust me, I have wanted to, with some of the very people who have posted in this thread.
