I threw my lunch away this morning and took my garbage to work and put it in the fridge. I was so surprised at noon.

I reuse shopping bags to throw daily trash out and I also use one for my lunch

:telstra:

I had to go get something half-way healthy at the corner store and ended up spending $11 for some cheese, salami, a little bag of cashews and an unsweetened tea.

:ROFLMAO: There are no accidents.

But you should have rewarded yourself by buying pure trash food to make you feel better.

Our neighbour once gave away a small fortune in down filled sleeping bags (5) that they used for camping that were in green garbage bags.

And ended up with a bag of their too small kids' clothes as gear the next time they pitched camp.

I could see those things happening here (and have done similar), so I spend extra for clear bags that I use only for non-trash purposes. (I have other reasons too -- keep out moisture and bugs in the attic/basement and still view contents.) I have a crazy amount of tote bags, so lunches aren't in danger.

Oi. You're not the guy who slammed his wife and kissed the door goodbye, are ya?
Then there was the nurse who found a thermometer behind her ear, and wondered where she'd left her pen...

We now get reusable clothes bags in NJ

I miss the plastic grocery bags for food scraps that are smelly like leftover meats or onion peels.

We are still required by law to put all our trash in plastic bags. So now we spend more money on purchasing small trash bags as well as the larger ones.

I really miss plastic grocery bags as well for a long list of uses....

One can still get smaller bags in the produce department, although I'm sure those will get targeted sooner or later. But I've started using those as small trash bags to hold onion peelings, etc.
