It's been raining for the past 36 hours and I'm getting sick of it!
:grrr:

Sing it, Tina...

I can't stand the rain
Against my window
Bringing back sweet memories
I can't stand the rain
Against my window
Because he's not here with me

Made up,

It's been raining here for the last 24 hours....too bad you aren't here....we could forget about our weather woes~!

Its rained here solid for the last two weeks, cloudy right down to the ground and massive amounts. Mat-Su Valley is flooded, rivers high. Around home no problem, good gravel base and lots of drainage and 1/2 mile and on top a hill from the river. But it has rained hard for a total of about 12 inches in the past 2 weeks.

Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, time to get the ATVs out and take a day trip to the great wilds and see the fleeting "colors". Termination dust is on the mountains and coming lower each week. SOTG (snow on the ground) very soon.

i'm sorry you don't like the rain. i love it. i love gray and raining weather. i'm in the wrong place for it though. in sacramento we don't get rain from mid april-november.

i didn't know that when i moved here in april. :(

If it makes you feel better, we tied our record for the most days in a row with rain earlier this year....28 days:) That should hopefully make the 36 hours not seem all that bad;)

Sorry to hear about all the rain on the East Coast of the U.S. from the tropical storm Ernesto!

Here in the Southwest, we are waiting around for the demise of Hurricane John, waiting to see if the thunderstorms will spread into our region and bring us some much needed rain!

Nevada ONLY gets about 4 inches a year! Right now we ONLY have 1/2 inch and the year is almost 2/3 gone!

Pleezzzz send us some rain, and help us to fill up our Lake (Mead), its our water supply for goodness sake!!!(*8*) (*8*)

Actually the group "Eruption" did the 1st version of "I Can't Stand the Rain" back in 1978. It was one of those songs that you couldn't help but tap your foot to. Tina Turner redid it, but her version wasn't as danceable.

"And I wonder, still I wonder......who'll stop the ra-in".

That reminded me of that song, I think by Credence Clearwater Revival. WAY before the time of most of you boys.

anyway, don't let the rain get you down. Of course, that's easy for me to say in Southern California.

:D

I love the rain, but I can't stand other people during rain. One of my favorite things to do is go driving in the rain. Espically during really wicked thunderstorms. However it seems everyone forgets how to drive in the rain. WTF its just like regular driving only there's some water around..... grow up or get off of the road.

I hate rain.

So I moved to LA where we get about 2 days a year of it.

Riding a motorcycle in the rain is dangerous and no fun.. you get all soaked with dirty water...

Some men climb a mountain,
Some men swim the sea,
Some men fly above the sky:
They are what they must be.
But, baby the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby, I must go, baby I must go.

I do not love for silver,
Ido not love for gold,
My heart is mine to give away,
It never will be sold.
So, baby the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby I must go, baby i must go.

I am not rich or famous:
But who can ever tell?
I don't know now what waits for me
Maybe heaven, maybe hell.
Baby, the rain must fall,
Baby, the wind must blow,
Wherever my heart leads me
Baby I must go, baby I must go.

BABY, THE RAIN MUST FALL
From the Columbia film "Baby the Rain Must Fall"
